Great bars

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are my go to bars, the lemon zest is my favorite but I just picked up a box of the smores and love them. Grab a box of these to throw in your pantry, you wont regret it.

For the non bar lovers

Love the Lemon Zestbar for a mid ride snack! Great taste, gluten free, light- not to many calories or sugar.

    Fantastic bars

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are the best granola bars!! I love the lemon zest and chocolate dipped coconut. I keep a few boxes of these in my cupboards at all times. I keep a bar in my ski jacket, backpacking pack, with me while biking and in my purse for when I get hungry on the go.

    Yummy Blueberry!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I love a good soft energy bar! I especially love the oats on top with the blueberry jam. They are amazing (:

    Three thumbs up

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are fantastic energy bars! I buy a box every few months and keep these bars with me everywhere I go. I keep them in my car, in my ski bag, in my purse and a stash in my cupboard. All the flavors are great.

Formulated for women, delicious for man

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Don't let the "for women" fool you out of a good tasting bar, especially the lemon.

    From Clifbar's website:

IS LUNA BAR APPROPRIATE FOR MEN TO EAT?

Of course! Men, too, can enjoy LUNA Bar. While our bar was originally crafted to include nutrients that are typically missing from a woman’s diet, men can and do enjoy snacking on our delicious, nutritious bars as well. In fact, at Clif Bar & Company, we have a favorite saying: “Real Men Eat LUNA.”

    Tasty Necessities

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are good with better flavors than regular Clif bars - the Lemon is amazing. I usually keep a bar on me 24/7 for emergency hunger relief. I still haven't figured out how these are specifically formulated for women.

Not a fan of energy bars but...

I LOVE these! For years my mom couldn't get me to eat energy bars before soccer games or hikes or backpacking trips until we came across these. These are tasty, without being chalky and perfect for adding into a back pack or soccer bag.

      Serious, eat them. So good!

      Clifbar Luna Bar

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Lemon Zest is my go-to breakfast on the go. + Coffee, yum.

      yum!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I love Luna bars especially the lemon zest and the chocolate coconut flavors. They are a great anytime snack. I love to throw them in my fishing bag or take them hiking. They taste so good and don't have a cardboardy texture. They don't hold up as well as clif bars in the heat and they're harder to eat after they get smushed.

Pros: delish, good amount of calories for quick boost

Cons: frosting melts in heat and makes a mess

      yum!

      Lemon Zest is Fantastic

They may be "specially formulated" for women, but these bars just plain taste great for anyone. All the benefits of the Clif Bar you are used to, but in a slightly lighter feeling (less of that brick in the pit of your stomach) more flavorful option.

        Great bike snack!

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

When I do long bike rides; I want solid food. This is a great snack, easy packaging to tear open on the bike. Lemon is my all time favorite!

        Wife loves them!

As I carry a few Cliff Bars in my pack on any given hike you can guarantee my wife has a few Luna's in hers. They are organic goodness! Every so often I get to try one & they are delicious!

          Great for Guys and Girls!

          • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Ok, so these are definitely marketed at woman, but as I guy I find just as good, and they are certainly edible by both sexes. I buy them mostly just to get a flavor change up from regular cliff bars, the lemon zest and coconut chocolate being my favorite. Great for snacking on while backpacking or eating in the middle of a trail ride for the extra energy push to get you home.

          Great for Guys and Girls!

          Lemon Zest

Very sweet, but delicious. My roommate swears by the lemon, and I can't say I don't munch one down every now and then

            Healthy really???

I am planning many long hikes this summer so I decided to try these energy bars out (this is my first time making such a purchase appart from my school day granola bars). I was swayed by all the positive reviews so I went ahead and bought two boxes: one oatmeal rasin and one peanut butter cookie. I tried both out this week and what a disappointment. These taste like cheap toxic candy bars. Sure the ingredients are all "organic" so I guess you can do as they say and not feel guilty, but they still contain 14g of sugars for each 48g bar, ie more than a fourth of these is sugar (no surprise really given how they taste). So what if its organic evaporated cane juice and organic brown rice syrup instead of corn syrup.

I must say that its not that I am a health nut against sugar. I love me a nice slice of cake, brownies, muffins etc. I just would never consider taking those as meal replacements. I also usually only get the great tasting bakery or homemade stuff not the horrible supermarket sweets. The last is unfortunately what these Luna bars taste like. I would therefore recomend that you try these out before purchasing two boxes as I did. I also think that people should show a bit more critical thinking towards the whole "organic" therefore healthy propaganda.

I think you are slightly missing the point of what these are for. I don't buy granola bars like these or cliff bars as meal replacements, I buy them as trail food to be consumed in between meals. I don't know about you, but when i'm out backpacking I burn 4,000-5,000 calories a day. It's tough to carry that much food, so I try to pack the most calories dense things I can find, which ultimately means lots of sugar and fat.

The fact that these have a bunch of calories along with some protein and fiber, more then a snickers bar anyways, makes them slightly better to eat for days on end in my opinion. The fact that they are mostly organic is just a bonus, as I don't feel that industrial organic food is all that much better then regular industrial food.

You should educate yourself on the importance of carbs(sugars) during exercise, the difference between refined sugar and raw organic sugar.

              Not bad

They tasted pretty good and kept me going. Prefer the taste of the clif bars over these.

                  Pretty Good

They tasted pretty good and kept me going while hiking.

                    I'm impressed

I tried my first Luna bar (lemon zest), and wow, was it ever tasty...!! It actually tasted like lemons, and didn't upset my stomach. The only problem is thry taste so good I want to eat them like candy.
