CastelliVolo Full-Zip Jersey - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Under air’s radar.

Borrowing its cut from its big brother, the Aero Race 5.0 jersey, the Castelli Volo Full-Zip Short-Sleeve Jersey is about as close to invisible to the wind as a jersey can get. The Volo is no one-trick pony, however. The jersey, which is the top half of the kit by the same name, also stretches to perfectly fit your form in the saddle, and it pulls moisture from your skin to keep you dry and comfortable.

All of the Volo’s virtues can be attributed to two things: its cut and its materials. The cut is responsibility for the Volo’s perfect fit. It’s designed to snug up to your skin without binding or bunching while you're in the seated pedal position. The controlled mechanical stretch ensures this perfect fit without limiting your range of motion. The materials were chosen for their efficient moisture-wicking capabilities, which move moisture away from your skin to the surface of the jersey, where it’s quickly evaporated. Stretch mesh side panels keep air moving through the jersey to cool you off, and the full front zipper can be lowered to dump heat if needed.

a Little small

  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: medium

i shoud read the reviews, usually i´m M but Castelli is tight, it makes me be thinner and running faster.

Fit not quite as advertised

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Size Bought: small

I'm a Castelli Devotee. To the core I love their clothing, from out team kit to my every day riding gear it's all Castelli. So I was pretty stoked to see this jersey on sale for such a smokin' deal. The way CC wrote the description I was expecting a jersey with an AeroRace fit but with different (cost reflective) materials. What I got was a jersey with a club cut in the torso and racer cut (which I wanted) in the sleeves. The torso feels like a medium (jersey is a small like all my Castelli jerseys) while the sleeves fit exactly like my other AeroRace jerseys. If you are used to Castelli's race cut this jersey is a bad hybrid of race and club.

Nice jersey

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Im 5'9" 155 with a 39" chest with a 31" waist. I wear a cheapy Champion breathable t-shirt as a base layer, so I wear the XL jersey. It fits great around my shoulders, the hip area is a bit loose in the wind, but that doesn't bother me. The one knock on it, is the arm cuffs really stick to your arms after rides.

Fits climber chest....

Here's a fit review for average joe's; Decent aero fit for skinny climber dudes. Castelli is so weird with the fit across the board. Thankfully CC advises on overall fit. I'm 5'10 170, 34 waist, slim, swimmer arms and chest. The tight arm fit drove me nuts in the size Large. I liked the longer sleeves, but I couldn't deal with the constriction, even in the riding position. Hope this helps average joe's everywhere.

Looks Cool - Runs Very Small

The jersey looks really cool but they run pretty small. Maybe it was my fault since I have not bought Castelli jerseys in a while. I might go back and order one size larger. I am 6.0 about 185lbs lean

    Not a race jersey

I am a big Castelli fan, as I have more than 10 of their jerseys in both short and long sleeves. This Volo jersey is a big disappointment to say the least. The shoulder and sleeves are tight but the body is loose. Is this what they called it an aero jersey? They need to take a look at Pearl Izumi PRO Speed jersey to see what an aero jersey feel like, it should be tight and stretchy all around. What makes it even worst are the mesh inserts on the back of the arms and rib cage sides, as there is not much sun ray protection if you are sensitive to it. I hate see- through mesh panels on a jersey, as it is unnecessary to have them with most fabrics are so thin and airy already. Besides, mesh panels look cheap. It seems like the higher end a jersey, the more mesh panels you will get. Go figure! With all said, these are nice looking jerseys if you are okay with these shortcomings. Thanks!

    Size inconsistent but nice jersey

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: XXL

Bought XXL (two sizes up) because of comparison fit with another Castelli racing Jersey. I'm fit build but the arms are super tight while the abdomen up to chest is baggy which is opposite of what I expected. It feels comfortable however.

    Nice looking jersey

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Large

I ordered a large. I'm usually a medium on other brands but I followed the advise from others that Castelli jerseys run 1 size smaller. The fit is perfect for my frame. I'm 5' 7" 160lbs.

    Great fit and great looking

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I really like Castelli jerseys and this is no exception. The fit is snug for the size and made to be worn on the bike and not standing. If that is what you are after this jersey is worthwhile. I also like the fact that the jersey is light but not see through.

Since I can only add one photo at a time, here is the back of the jersey.

Went out for a quick ride with the jersey and it feels great. I'm 6 feet tall and 160 lbs. I bought a Large. It is not totally snug but fits very nice. The front of the jersey could be a little shorter to prevent bunching. I did notice that the sleeves are fairly tight. I am not very muscular in the arms so it works for me. Sticking appears to be top notch. Nice elastic at the bottom to prevent the jersey from sliding up. The zipper also feels very comfortable at the neck. The blue on the jersey is darker than the website photos. It is made in El Salvador.

I will wear it in hot weather on a longer ride soon and will update the review.
