Black Magic Gloves
Riding in cool weather can bring a host of questions to consider when selecting the gear to ride in that day. Is it going to warm up or cool down from the start? Is it appropriate to dress to be warm and comfortable on the leisure ride or will it be too warm if there is some tempo? How much climbing and descending are on tap today? Is it going to rain? Whatever the conditions, Castelli's Scalda Elite Glove is a go-to that will have most of your bases covered for cool spring and fall rides and help eliminate the guesswork of which glove to pick.
Castelli uses a high-stretch, medium insulation material to create a glove that will keep your hands comfortable in temperatures ranging from 43-59 degrees Fahrenheit. The star of the show is the water and windproof material, Ultra Fleece, that Castelli employs that is soft and comfortable on the hands. A stretchy cuff allows for easy on and off for temperature regulation and a synthetic leather palm with silicone grip allows for good handlebar feel and control. Fingertips are touchscreen compatible so you can capture the view from the summit or take an important call while on your ride.

Great commuter gloves for temperate climates. I commute year-round in Northern California and these gloves are my Winter favorites. They are thick enough to keep my fingers warm down to about 30 degrees F, and they even keep my fingers dry in light rainstorms. The striped pattern on the fingers helps signaling, and they are long enough to mate well with most jackets. Sure they are a bit pricey, but the materials and build quality trump the cost. A solid pair of gloves.
What's the difference between these and the non-Elite Scalda gloves?
The cuff seems to be a big difference. The Elite has a nicer cuff and is a better glove overall. The construction will feel and fit better. Please give me a call or email, 801-619-7476 or email@example.com

replacing a Pearl Izumi cyclone gel, which didn't get it done. these are comfy in high 40's -50's. I got them a tad large to allow room for layering (underneath). very light/thin fleece inside is great and these block the wind (front side). good grip and nice high wrist cover. only thing is you might need to turn em inside out after harder rides to dry the sweat. same small sizing as other Castelli gloves
