Look your best.
If you need a lesson on podium attire, look no further than the Spring Classics. Even with courses that you leave you dirty, grimy, and sweaty, you'll never see a filthy team kit climbing the podium. Instead, you'll see clean, timeless pieces, like the Castelli Race Day Jacket, adorning those who're accepting kisses from podium girls and spraying champagne.
This Track Jacket features a slimming fit that complements the desk jockey and racer alike. The cuffs, collar, and waistband of the jacket are rib-knit for a solid hold. There are two hand pockets for warming your mitts, and a Castelli Scorpion on the chest.
Also, we advise making the Euro-adjustment and sizing up in Castelli Race Day apparel.
The Castelli Race Day Track Jacket is available in seven sizes from X-Small to XXX-Large and in the color Black.
- Q & A
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: XXL
Anthracite is the color of the jacket. Google anthracite if you want to know the color of jacket. Size is typical Castelli. Know your measurements and you'll be fine. Jacket is a little thicker than a windbreaker. Styling is impeccable as always. Castelli leads the pack when it comes to styling.
Perfect for what it is
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: XXL Castelli bases size on height
This jacket is perfect in that you don't think about it – it wears really well. It has been washed in cold water and hung dry. Still perfect. Think about sizing closely and there is no problem with fit. I also have understood Castelli sizing from previous apparel.
Quality control lacking
- Fit: Runs large
Unlike most of what I buy from Castelli, I had heard that it ran a little large so I bought down one size from usual which worked out. The fit always felt a little odd and after I washed it for the first time I found out why. The zipper/body/lower hem had been cut and sewn a little crooked so it twists i.e. the bottom of the zipper is almost to my left hip, but the top is near the center of my neckline and it's curved, not the intentional off-angle cut of some pieces. Yes, it was gently washed/rinsed in cold with mild detergent and flat-dried.
It sits with my shop apron now as a beater jacket for when I'm working on the bikes. Shame.
Doesn't fit well.
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I got this, tried it on and was promptly bummed. It's not what it looks like. I thought it would be a slim, semi-thin track jacket. Its short and wide, unlike most castelli items i own. Its also really heavy. If you're a little on the short and wide side this would work well.
