Evening ride companion.

When you're racing home from work to squeeze in as many miles on the roads as you can before sunset, reach for the Castelli Prologo V Jersey then get out the door and onto your bike. As you pedal away the day's stress, the Prologo V's double-layer fabric will draw moisture away from your skin before you know it's there, even if the temperature refuses to drop with the setting sun.

Castelli gives the Prologo a slightly more relaxed fit than the brand is known for, which translates to a slim, tailored silhouette that won't guilt you too much for indulging in Friday donuts at the office a few hours prior to your ride. Other details, like airy mesh panels and a low-profile collar that protect your neck, continue the reliable legacy this Castelli mainstay has had since its first generation.

  • Trust this jersey to be your weekly training companion
  • Stratus Plus two-layer fabric rapidly wicks moisture
  • Mesh accent panels enhance ventilation as you ride
  • Regular cut has a more forgiving fit than race kit
  • Traditional 3 pocket design provides ample space for fuel
  • Zippered rear pocket securely holds onto a key

The jersey if fine, but runs small

  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Large

Too small, but that's how castelli runs. Other than that, jersey seems fine, but I had to return it.

Sizes are big, decent for daily use.

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

The jersey comes in good colors and looks like it'll work as a daily jersey. Decent material. However, this jersey sized big. It sags in front and is a bit long. As well as a really big belly area. I typically fit Medium in Castelli depending on where the piece is manufactured. China jersey sizes larger than typical. Morocco bib shorts size smaller than typical. All the things I get from San Salvador are sized perfectly. Had to return this jersey unfortunately because it's too big for me. Once I have a big gut it shouldn't look to big on me. I'm 5'6" and 150lbs.

Great Jersey

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I usually wear a Large in Castelli's race-fit jerseys, but a Medium fit me perfectly. So, I agree....Don't size up. This is True To Size. I wear Medium in every-day shirts.

Nice

Very nice jersey. My first Castelli. Fit is a bit funny. I’m 5’10” 173 lbs and it fits great in chest, shoulders and arms but find the waist is too big and fits too loosely.

Great Italian Jersey made in China

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: small

I have two of these in small. Great quality but disappointed to find they are made in China . Keeps cool and wicks moisture well. I love the look and fit (Small is almost race fit on my 140lb 5' 9" body)

    Arms are too tight

    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: XL

Bought this based on experience with another Castelli XL jersey that was wonderful and great fitting (6'1"). This one was a bit of a disappointment. The arms were way too tight, Far from a body builder. Also the length in the front and back were a lot shorter than what was experienced with the other jersey. Never rode with the kit however the fabric felt great for warm temps. Also good looking and great with the zip pocket.

    Fit like a glove.

    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

This jersey is the best I've had from Castelli. The fit is true, and the finish is pro level.

Too small, but material very nice.

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Large

I bought this as a present for my husband. He is usually a size large and that is the size I bought. He prefers Castelli jerseys in general. However, he thought the jersey was too tight, even though it was regular fit (maybe he's put on winter weight). But, I want to note that he thought the stretchy material felt great. He elected to keep the Pear Izumi semi-fit elite escape fit that was my backup choice.

    Nice, lightweight jersey

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

My comments are in line with previous reviews. I typically wear a Large in Castelli's race-fit jerseys, but a Medium fit me well in this one, so I'd say don't size up. Medium is my usual size for every-day shirts. Stitching along seams is raised and not sewn flat, which was surprising, but it doesn't bother me. All in all, a solid addition for me.

    One of my favs

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Large

This one is killer. I have an XL that fit me comfortably when I weighed 188. Now I’m down to 180 and the L is a perfect snug race fit.

    Good jersey for everyday training/riding

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Large

Love Castelli stuff. Great quality, materials, and styling. I usually wear a Large in Castelli (race cut fit) so I ordered a Large in this jersey. It is baggy and loose around my waist. With my cell phone in right back pocket, the jersey slides to the right side. I recommend ordering in your "normal" size if you want a proper fit with this jersey. It is MUCH looser than other Castelli "race fit" jerseys. I realize that may seem obvious, but I just ordered the size I'm used to ordering in Castelli, and this jersey is too big. I still wear it but prefer a much tighter, "flap free" fit. I'm by no means at my old racing weight (145 lbs) but even still, on my 173-ish pound frame, this jersey is still too big in a size Large. I would definitely buy another, just in a smaller size, having learned my lesson.

    As described....which is perfect.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

This jersey is exactly as described. The one I find myself always wanting to grab....so I have a couple of them now. The pockets easily fit a day's worth of stuff (wallet, phone, gels, beers, etc.), the fit is not sausagey, nor is it baggy, and the fabric is light and airy. Runs "True to Size" if you know your Castelli size. If not, order one size bigger than normal jerseys.

    Perfect jersey!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: XL

Just purchased this jersey and it's perfect! Being in my late 50's, I really don't need a wind cheating, skin tight jersey. Just something with good fit, comfort and looks nice. This jersey checks all the boxes. May just buy a couple more of these!

    Jersey fit

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Med

This jersey is awesome. It isn't a typical race fit. But for training and week day rides, it is awesome.

    Yes

    • Fit: True to size

This the best "value" Castelli jersey in years. In fact, a great jersey at any price.

    Best features:
    *Rear pockets with reinforced stitching.
*Vented material under arms and across the upper back.
    *Solid waist band stays put.
    *Upper zipper/neck guard.
*Even a rear zippered pocket (a surprise at this price point).
*High quality zipper (with pull). Zips up & down easily to dump heat -as when climbing.

And Castelli nailed the styling this year. Much better looking than previous editions of the Prologo.

I pair this jersey with a vest fishnet baselayer (like Castelli's "core mesh 3") for max performance in really hot weather (>80°), or when climbing.

    ***Fit & Sizing***
"Semi-form fit." Not tight fit like most of Castelli's more expensive Rosso Corsa (race) jerseys. So you don't have to have a pro cyclist's body to wear this jersey.

Sizing: As Castelli vets know, you usually need to size up +1 with Castelli jerseys. Not here! This jersey wil fit in your normal street size. Possibly size *down* one size if you desire race fit.

I had to return mine it seems that they forgot to finish sewing half of the zipper side of the jersey Quality control issues.
But if your unsure of size order 1 size up

I agree. Castelli design is A+, but QC is sometimes B+. Exchange for a good one. CC will pay for shipping.
