- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: Runs small
I have had this jacket for a few months now and have ridden in it a dozen times in temps ranging from 40 to 60° F, with and without rain. It is perfectly windproof and waterproof. It's downfall is breathability. I've never come back from a ride dry with this jacket on. Never! It's possible I dress too warm - I've never been cold in this jacket (not even soaked with perspiration!), but in spite of unzipping to ventilate, perspiration covers the inside of the jacket and my jersey by ride's end.
Love it's appearance. Love it's fit, albeit 'tight' (I'm normally a med. size). The fabric is really different: A soft exterior with a stretchy, white, Goretex-like interior. The 'caution tape' motif on the cuff would seem useful for US riders if it were on the left sleeve. The bottom flap extends far down to divert runoff from soaking your shorts and can be tucked up when not needed. The zipper runs smoothly, all the way up and back down with one hand. The neck is very comfortable. It is VERY visible!!!
Final word: there might yet be the perfect rain jacket out there, but I haven't found it. At the sale price ($150) I would consider buying it after reading this review. Maybe I dress too warm!
