Normal Castelli sizing

I found sizing of this vest to be consistent with other Castelli race fit tops including Perfetto long sleeve jersey and Superleggera vest I already owned. For me it fits well over both short sleeve and long sleeve jerseys including slightly thicker long sleeves like Puro worn with base layer. As I mentioned I already owned Superleggera vest which is one of my favorite and most used items of cycling clothing for cooler morning and descents - I bought Perfetto vest for when a little more warmth and wind protection is needed and also for when there is a chance of rain during the ride, but not heavy enough to justify carrying a full rain jacket. Haven't been tested it in the rain yet, although based on my experience with (older) long sleeve Perfetto it should be enough for light or short rain, but not for longer or heavy rain. Good wind protection as expected. Compared with Superleggera it also has longer neck and convenient pockets, although Superleggera seems to have been replaced by Aria with longer neck and single pocket. The only downside of Perfetto vest is high full price, got one on sale.

Castelli Vest Too Small

Beautifully made vest which would really look nice on me if it fit. Unfortunately, this vest is WAY TOO SMALL. Had to return.

Perfetto RoS Vest

These vests are typical nice Castelli quality, but run 2-3 sizes too small! I consistently wear a medium and the XL was a bit snug. Also, the picture on the website shows a red color, but in fact it's burgundy...Castelli's got it all wrong, unfortunately.

Quality Item

The vest fit is slim, but the fabric does stretch a bit. It is good at blocking the wind on chilly morning rides. I have not used it in the rain though. The back is longer to help protect the rider's bum from rain spray. The only item I have issue with is the predominately black fabric on the back of the vest. I purchased the orange color in order to be seen by motorists, and the black back defeats this purpose.

Unusual sizing is too short

I ordered this vest in XL which appears to be the best size for me but it's WAAAAAYYY too short and at the same time was too large in circumference. I'm returning it before using because it would have been yet another flappy vest on descents. I wear a size Large jersey in many other brands and given the feedback of other reviewers here, I ordered the XL. It's about 2" shorter than a Large Rapha or Panache jersey. Seems strange since this is intended to wear over a jersey. Can't order smaller and can't order larger. This vest supposed to be form fitting, but I would disagree with that assessment.

Great vest but runs extremely tight. I bought 3XL and even that was way too tight. I usually wear XL or sometimes XXL depending on the brand.

Great vest

Size XL in all my Castelli jerseys so I tried this in XL also. Fit is snug and perfect over the top of a Castelli jersey. Wore this when temp started around 45 degrees up to 60 degrees. Entire ride was perfect, didn't end up unzipping or taking it off during the ride. I will plan on using this instead of my Alpha ROS 2 jacket if the temp gets over 50 during the ride.

Perfect for Southern California weather

This was a perfect choice for riding in San Diego for a late morning to mid day even during the over cast/windy or chilly days. I can arrange warmth by the different base layer. I also tried Castelli Alpha RoS 2 Light Jacket, but unless I ride at dawn all the time, the jacket will be a little too much (still very well designed jacket and sizing is the same). SIZING: Usual CASTELLI size Many reviews mention that it runs small; however, in my case, size Medium was perfect. I usually wear size medium on Castelli products. Just to make sure, I even ordered size Small to try and I can even wear small as well if I wanted it be snug. For a reference, I am on a small side: Suit Size 36S or 38S, (depending on a fit), pants size 30, dress shirt 15.5/31-32, shirt/t-shirt size small or medium (mostly small) and almost all European size in 46.

Hobbit sizing

Beautifully made product. However, the sizing is way way off. I am 5'11° under 150lbs and ended up with an xl which still fits snuggly. So, I suggest going 2 sizes above your usual size. Return to CC of the L was easy. No issues and free returns.
