Competizione Glove

Soaring temperatures may have your mitts feeling a bit misty with perspiration, but Castelli's Competizione Gloves offer an airy feel to keep you cool when temperatures near triple-digits. These lightweight gloves provide generous stretch and breathability to keep you cool and comfortable when it counts, whether you're toeing the line on race day, or going for long weekend rides.

  • Airy and light gloves for comfort on scorching rides
  • Stretch mesh uppers usher perspiration away from skin
  • Synthetic leather palm is durable and provides tactile bar feel
  • Castelli Damping System provides cushion on median nerve
  • Light padding on essential contact points reduces fatigue
  • High stretch cuff makes for easy on and off

Not for thick hands

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: XXL

I have big hands and so usually I have to get XXL sizes. I thought, lucky me this one comes in XXL. I couldn't get them on my hands at all. The "high stretch cuff" doesn't stretch enough and there are no fasteners so when the stretch is done, it's either ruin the glove or return them. I chose the latter. Shame. They seemed pretty nice, but definitely didn't fit.

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: 2XL

The 2XL should more accurately be considered a medium. This isn't just a *little* small; my hand wouldn't remotely fit into this glove. The size chart suggests XXL would fit >26cm hand circumference, but only actually measure 21cm around. 5cm of negative ease would be an enormous amount of stretch, except that the back panel pattern has stitching that prevents most of that potential stretch.

Nice breathable glove

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: XXL

These gloves have held up well for me through the summer. A little bit of a pain to get on and off, but that’s not a big deal to me since they are so breathable. They have the right amount of padding on the palm and seem to last. I’ve ridden 1300mi with these gloves and they are showing only a little abrasion on the palm. Great for the hottest days. My bar tape is Supacaz which doesn’t seem to be too destructive towards gloves. Maybe that explains their durability that others have not experienced.

Nice glove, don’t last

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: L

I like how minimal they are, as I’m a fan of very light padding, but they fall apart quickly.

Not Castelli quality

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

Feel cheap & flimsy; not much padding
