The new shifters improve ergonomics over the previous generation by offering customizable lever reach with a setting for smaller hand sizes, as well as a refined lever shape with a slight outward curve that feels more natural. The disc brake calipers are identical to the ones used for Record and Super Record ensuring there's no sacrifice to braking performance at the Chorus level.
