Water goes inside, not outside!
CamelBak packs work best when the water's on the inside and the outside and cargo are dry. This rain cover fits securely to your CamelBak pack with a Velcro closure and drawstring and will protect it from everything short of a jump in the pond. Use the S/M for the H.A.W.G., Cloud Walker, Trail Blazer and Zephyr. Use the M/L for the Rim Runner, Peak Bagger, Ares, Ethos and Kronos.
Easy to use on the go, effective!

I use this for both my Camelbak Daystar and Roots leather backpack. Actually I use it much more for the leather bag while living in rainy Taiwan. Very confident that no matter the downpour my $300 bag will be totally dry as long as the cover is firmly strapped on. Love the velcro loop at the top which goes around the packs straps to ensure sturdy coverage. The yellow color is good for visibility but can get dirty easily.

The rain cover does shed water, but it doesn't completely shed it off or around the M.U.L.E. It attaches by an awkward Velcro strap. Where you're supposed to attach this one strap isn't quite clear. There is an adjustable draw cord at the bottom that allows you to snug it around the pack. This essentially means the bottom of your Camelbak is more protected from rain than the top. Kinda dumb from a design standpoint. My impression is that this version is still in the developmental stages. It would be an awesome cover if there was neoprene sleeves that fit over each of the shoulder strap attachment points. That would keep the water from running down the back of the pack or inside the cover. Overall, I guess it does deflect the majority of the rain, but don't expect the contents of your Camelbak to stay dry.
If you look under the edge of the rain cover on the side opposite of the Velcro strap, you'll see a small rope loop. Run the strap through the loop and then stick it back on itself. That's what holds the top of the rain cover in place and prevents it from sliding down while you're on the move.
Thanks Dusty- Still somewhat of an imperfect design, but better than any alternative thus far. Grateful for the input.
dont risk it....!!

i trusted this thing to keep my backpack dry thru a rain storm and i had some very important paper work in my backpack and it all got ruined! the material is fine for water proofing its just the fact that it doesn't seal around it completely, so water ran down my back and into the bottom of the rain cover, when i got to my destination there was about a litter of water sitting in the bottom of the rain cover!!!! so my backpack was literally soaking in a pool of water!!!! so REALLY the only way to keep your stuff dry is tie it inside a trash bag! i hate rain covers like this and will never trust them ever again!!!!
Good 'universal' cover
S/M fits a surprisingly large bag. I bought this to cover my North Face Miwok back pack for my bike commute to work. So far it has been great, it fits nicely over the whole pack and seems to keep out the rain and the mud that sprays up from the rear wheel. It rinses nicely too when it is time to shed the muck. Easy elastic, Velcro strap keeps it in place up top and a nice cinch cord around the base, which I haven't really need to use since it fits perfect as is!
I bought two of these, one for my Fourteener and one for my wife's Aventura, both in size M/L. I bought them after a dayhike of Little Lakes Valley in the Eastern Sierra in an absolute downpour, but have not had occasion to use them yet. The fit looks fine, and they are relatively lightweight, so bringing them along as insurance seems reasonable. I have been quite happy with all my CamelBak products...
Does the job
There is nothing fancy about this pack cover. It works. There is a strap on mine that is useless, but thankfully it doesn't get in the way. I bought this cover for a H.A.W.G. pack and it is a little too tight when I have the pack and bladder full. I hope this helps.
Worked well through rains atv riding outside Denali National Park, AK
This little device keeps my backpack dry works great
Packable, light and really easy to put on!
This rain cover is a must if you want to keep your Camelbak dry out there. It packs really small and is easy as 1,2,3 to put on your pack. When you are hiking and the weather turns foul, don't let your gear and goods get soaked, buy a rain cover for sure!
Well designed, well priced, perfect solution to the rain
Rain cover works perfect. No more stuffing my gear into trash bags inside the pack when it's raining out. Now I just attach the rain cover and go on as normal. A huge plus is the bright yellow fabric as it adds to my reflectability during my evening commute by bicycle. Great product!
