You can't be a winner if you don't stay hydrated.

A spill-proof, self-sealing Jet Valve combined with a positive lockout for leakproof protection makes the CamelBak Podium Water Bottle a winner for sports events. Its BPA-free TruTaste polypropylene material is safer to drink out of than polycarbonate plastics, and it won't distort your water's taste.

Its a Bottle

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Does the job. Its shorter than other bottle, so if space is an issue, grab this boy! Also, the new lid is great!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought this for my 3 year old son because he kept stealing mine. It's his go to bottle and I like how it doesn't leak. I e always been a fan of these bottles amd now he is too!

It holds liquids

    Bike Bottle

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The perfect biking bottle. Softer plastic makes it easier to squeeze and and easy open top seals the deal. Look no further if you need a smaller bottle that does not leak and works perfectly in a bottle cage.

    Well Done Simplicity

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Simple squeeze bottle with a well done twist nozzle.
I particularly like the hard nozzle that allows you to bite and get a steady stream mid ride.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

i buy a few of these a summer, they either bounce out of my water bottle cage on a ride or i leave them at a resting spot on the trail. perfect amount of water for a short ride and i like the jet valve, the bottle can always be left open but will avoid spills, perfect for high endurance activities.

    For Adults and Kids

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I got this for my kid. He has a Camelbak with a straw, but always prefers to use the "grown ups" bottles. His little hands can handle this, but its also the perfect size for my wife to use as her go-to bottle as well.

    camel back water bottle

easy to clean, good water flow! too bad it you can't squeeze the last bit of water

      Great water bottle

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Its all about the nozzle. The ability to squeeze a controlled burst without necessarily needing to put it into your mouth. Great design, lasts a long time. Just make sure not to leave sugary sports drinks in it between use. The plastic can retain funk.

      Also a squirt gun

Love this thing, doubles as a squirt gun to spray friends on a hot day

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are the only water bottles I will purchase. They don't leak, easy to drink out of, and just the right kind of squeeze.

        Bottles Baby

        • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Got 2 of these for gifts and they are loved. The nozzle delivers water to the mouth with ease, no leaking, lightweight, and perfect for the pack pockets they were bought for. Camelbak wins again.

What is the height of this bottle? Is it much shorter than the Podium 24 oz (standard, not Chill)?

        Best Answer

Hey Mike, the height of the bottle from the bottom to the top is 8.25". Are you trying to see if it will clear your inner triangle? It will fit in a Medium 2016 Santa Cruz Nomad, barely. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

The standard 21 oz (not Chill) bottle is 8.5 X 2.75 in

The standard 24 oz (not Chill) bottle is 9.5 X 2.75 in

It's enough of a difference that I go with the 21 oz most of the time.

        Not your grandfathers water bottle

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The water bottle has stayed pretty much unchanged for years. We are at least no longer using corks and tin cans, but the Podium allows for easy on/off twists with a large stream of water when needed. The contoured edges make the bottle easy to grip.

        Best bottles

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Same comment as for the larger size - these have been the best option for water bottles that don't leak. I really only purchase these now when replacing lost bottles. The smaller bottle size is perfect for those who ride small full suspension frames and can't fit the taller bottle.

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is an excellent water bottle. I have two sizes. They fit in your drink cage on your bike. I am a big fan of Nalgene bottles, the basic opaque white ones with the blue cap. But this Camelbak Podium is a squeeze bottle which is great for biking and other one-handed situations. It has a spill-proof nozzle which really does not spill. It also has a leak-proof setting which will not leak or spill even if you squeeze the bottle. So you can throw it in your bag and it won't get your stuff wet.

        Small but Great

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This bottle is only 21 oz, but the nozzle is what I really enjoy. It seals automatically and doesn't require much force to get any liquid form the bottle. I've bought many camelbak bottles with the same nozzle, it's awesome!

        One of the best bottles

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The spout mechanism is really convenient. You can leave it "open" and it won't spill unless you squeeze it and when you want to make sure it "closes" you turn the top rather than pull on the part you drink from. It's a great design.

Backcountry also sells a 24oz version of this bottle. I'd recommend that one if you need a few more ounces for longer rides.

        Awesome Bottle

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Great bottle for riding. Never leaks, easy to use.

        Doesn't leak!

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

My wife snagged one of these bottles from a Tour of Utah feed zone last year, and it's now the only bottle that I ever use. The nozzle is outstanding -- in "locked" mode, it doesn't leak at all. I can keep it in my backpack with computer, clothes, etc. and don't worry about it all.

When drinking, there's great flow and the bottle is easy to squeeze.

This is the best bottle ever. Seriously.

One suggestion when you use it on the bike -- when you reach down to grab the bottle from its cage, go ahead and switch it into "drink" mode while it's still in the cage. It's super quick and easy to do at that point, but it's awkward to do if you're holding the bottle in one hand.
