This backpack knows how to fly.
Unlike dealing with airlines, upgrading your carry-on luggage is easy with the Burton Traverse Backpack. It has a Double Deck design that helps you stay organized on the road, versatile storage capacity to suit a variety of needs, and a compact shape that fits in overhead compartments so you don't have to sweat long checked-bag lines and extravagant fees.
The Double Deck design features separated main compartments so you can keep clean clothes and dirty laundry organized, and volume-enhancing CRAM Zones expand storage space so the bag can accommodate any souvenirs you pick up on your travels. A large main compartment and multiple internal and external accessory pockets quickly and efficiently store everything needed for weekend escapes. The side-access padded laptop compartment makes it easy to bust out your computer during the flight so you can watch some movies to pass the time. Dual, exterior-mesh beverage stashes keep your favorite drinks within an arms reach at all times and a separate shoe storage pocket keeps extra sneakers from marking up your other stuff.

Great travel pack
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
The Burton Traverse pack is the perfect traffic bag for those who do not want to hauling around a roller bag, or don't want a giant duffel to tote around. It's insane how much you can comfortably fit into this bag. I recently went to south-east asia for a week and found this pack the perfect size for my needs. I was able to comfortably fit a weeks worth of clothes, an extra pair of shoes, and all the knick knacks I needed for long flights and quick access points. The number of accessible and sizeable pockets is awesome. As a pack, its very comfortable to wear, the chest and hip straps come in handy for longer transitions between plane, train and automobiles. I highly recommend it, this is the best travel pack I've ever invested in.
Perfect travel pack
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Bought this for a two-week solo trip around Europe and it was perfect. Suitcase-style opening makes it easy to reach items without pulling everything out, and its low-key look keeps you from standing out too much, unlike one of the those bright, bulging backpacking packs. Plus, it fits under airline seats so you don't have to check any bags or even worry about overhead space. Used it a small commuter plane from Munich to Ljubljana and it still fit fine.
