    Minishred Heater Mitten

Wee hands need just as much warmth as big paws, so Burton hooked the Minishred Toddlers' Heater mitten with insulation and a soft microfleece lining to keep your short-stack shredder happy on icy January days and during all-time blizzards. The waterproof and breathable membrane locks out moisture like a champ, while the durable construction stands up to all the shenanigans that your grom will get up to.

    • Mini mittens for your mini shredder's comfort during winter play
    • Waterproof and breathable laminate ensures dry comfort in wet snow
    • Synthetic insulation maintains lofty warmth in soggy conditions
    • Ergonomic pre-curved fit encourages natural dexterity
    • Microfleece lining creates a cozy microclimate for their tiny hands
    • Tough PU palm grips ski poles, sled handles, and cups of cocoa
    • Gauntlet-style cuffs provide extra coverage in that soft soft snow
    • Hook-and-loop closure is easy for even little folks to operate

    No cold fingers

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small

Bought these in the 2T for my 14 month old. We're 3 months into real winter here in AK and no cold fingers yet. We go outside any day that it's above 0F and I'm back to buy the 4T for next winter while they're on sale. I'm impressed with how toasty and dry her hands are, even after splashing in a freezing cold puddle the other day (It got up to 40F and everything melted for a day!)

I think they run just a tad small. At 17 months, she's on the larger side of the growth charts and has larger hands and feet than her peers. They fit perfectly right now. The gauntlet goes about to her elbows and I put them on before putting on her snowsuit so that she can't pull them off too easily.

    • Fit: Runs small

Ordered and received a size 4T in these mittens. They had a hole in them and they are tiny for a 4T. Backcountry wants $6.99 for me to return a $21.00 item. Could qualify for a warranty return to Burton (who needs better quality control) but the process is overwhelming for an item of this value. Disappointing to say the least.

    Great mitts

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

My two year old loves these mittens and they're easy to get on and off. I love the high wrist/arm so it's hard to get snow inside. There's no sinch on the wrist though, so it might not work as well on a thinner jacket sleeve.

Weird shape, not worth your effort

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 4

The cut of these mittens (wide at the entry, narrow at the fingers) made them impossible for my daughter to keep on, even with the wrist strap, because they were "too tight" in the fingers. We spent more time putting them back on than having fun. I finally gave up and bought a different pair at the ski area. Size up at least one size or avoid entirely.

    Great gloves

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

These gloves kept my little mans hands nice and warm. He never complained about being cold. They were easy to get onto his little hands. When I got them I thought they were going to be pretty big on him but they worked perfectly for him.
