For those about to send.

From freshly frosted tree runs to towering jump lines, crush the entire mountain with the dialed-in fit and smooth underfoot feel of the Burton Cartel Re:Flex Snowboard Binding. This medium-flexing binding offers a responsive feel that's ideal for shredding anything on the mountain. So go ahead, mount this bad Johnny to your all-terrain quiver killer and reap the benefits of over a decade of constant refinement.

Dual-component baseplate construction features a softer material underfoot to enhance board feel and flex, with a stiffer material along the lateral edges for lightning-quick edge-to-edge response. The canted highback is slightly angled to match your stance, improving control while also reducing calf fatigue. DialFlad allows you to crank up the forward lean angle on your highback for extra support when you're carving up icy pipe walls.

Dual-density EVA in the AutoCant footbed allows your boot to settle into a natural position that aligns your joints naturally to reduce fatigue and improve control, and it has B3 Gel to absorb shock from harsh landings and minimize vibrations for a smoother ride. The Hammockstrap 2.0 ankle strap has a nylon strip running down the center that gives you a direct connection to your board at all times, meaning your board instantly responds to your every command. Exclusively available on the Cartel, the second edition of the Hammockstrap is paired with Smooth Glide buckles for a reduced profile and more comfortable fit. All of this adds up to create a ride that runs the entire resort.

Very Solid Binding

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got to demo these brand new Cartels and was very impressed. They are softer than the Malavita's, but are more than capable of handling just about anything you can throw at them. Burton makes the best straps in the game, and I believe these are a steal at this price!

Garbage quality

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The soft foam paddings on the highback de-laminates too easily. Expected more from such a pricey binding.

Great for all levels

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I purchased these for my dad for the holidays. His old bindings were outdated so these were a big step up for him . Personally the ankle strap is too stiff for me to ride in the terrain park, but for the all mountain rider these would be great!

Classic

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

There's a lot of options for snowboard bindings. I keep coming back to Cartels. Highly adjustable and reliable - not too stiff, not too soft. They've dialed these in for many years. Highly recommended.

Best binders!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

this keep my snowboard right where i want it. tool less features and great straps.

3rd pair.

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I bought these for my boyfriend and he loves them. He has been boarding for over 10 years and has 3 pairs. They are durable and long lasting. They seem to hold up really well.

Classics

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Just a good all around binding. Everything you need in a binding and nothing you don't. Throw these on any board and they will get the job done. I have had cartels for years, and they last. Last long enough to when something happens to them you do not even care because you have had them for so long. Highly recommend.

Great binding

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Burton has done it again. Such a great binding. Simple and effective

Dopeness

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I wanted a more responsive binding for my all mountain board. The Cartel has a stiffer baseplate than the Malavita and the Genesis (however the Genesis X is the same base as the Cartel) These turned out to be just what I needed. Stiff, without being too stiff, but they are stiffer than Cartel Bindings of the past so if you really liked your old Cartels, and do not want anything stiffer, you would be better off looking at the Genesis, Malavita, or Mission.
They have plenty of adjustment to them and are super comfy. The hinged straps are a nice plus that makes getting into the binding a bit quicker. I would buy these all over again.
Recently ridden bindings from Flux TT, Salomon District and Hologram, Burton Genesis, and Mission.

Great!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Cartels are well known over the years. I generally use Union as these, including most Burton, have too much of a forward lean that I'm not a huge fan of. Other than that, once you get used to it these are a solid choice in binding for all over the mountain use!

Upgrade

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Great upgrade. very well made. Once you dial these they are a dream come true. Excellent fit with YES Board. Satisfied with color(Primed)

Better than previous years

They went back to the old plastic straps across the foot and ankle, much sturdier, and doesnt give at all making it more responsive. Cartels always been good, still are. A go to for me.

    Toe strap keeps slipping.

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I made several adjustments to the toe strap, but they keep slipping up on me. I even had the guy in the High Performance center adjust them for me, but the toe strap kept slipping on me. I am going to try one more trip, but if I can't get the toe strap dialed, I'm sending them back.

what size boot/binding do you have? i have never had that problem with mine.

    Awesome bindings!

Got these for my husband, and here's what he had to say:
It's been a decade since I've used Burton bindings (previously had the Missions) and while they were nice before, they are incredible now. The hammock straps and even the toe straps are new to me. The Cartels were a perfect fit for my riding (mostly freeride) and I got them in Primed white/black which looks great. They hug your boot and I can't wait to get on the snow. The reflex technology definitely add some softness to the base as well.

      Cartels - One and Only

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

There is only one Burton model that you see the most of, Cartels. I learned on a board with Cartels, then got these to ride with my first setup, and have not rode on others binding since. Each year they get better with how locked in you feel, and how quick they lock in. They do not freeze up, and the Reflex is compatible with other boards too. Feels very sturdy, and very controlled riding, high back support also a big plus, and the tope straps give more controlled feel too.

      Don't mess with the Cartels.

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

You've definitely heard of them - the Burton Cartel. If you haven't, just know that the Burton Cartels have been on the front page of gear recommendation catalogs for years. With a medium flex, these have been proven by tons of pros to tackle anything you throw at them. With Burton's notorious hammock straps, they are only getting better, and really lock you in without any pressure points. If you want something that's got your back, you might need to join the Cartel.
