Really cool, urban-looking bag

While my son thinks it's cool that it's a Burton, I simply love the bag. It has really smart compartments and pockets - I especially love that you can access your laptop through the back, side zipper rather than riffling through the main compartment. It has side pockets that can be transformed into water bottle holders, which is great. The many front zipper pockets are perfect for passports or other items that need to be accessed. I will use this bag mainly for travel and I really like that it looks urban rather than a camping backpack.

    Awesome All-Around Bag

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I was stoked to test my new backpack out on a trip to the Bahamas. I only packed a carry-on sized suitcase and this pack. Packed a few extra clothes, a travel pillow, laptop, chargers, and some other miscellaneous gear. There are plenty of pockets to stay organized. This pack worked like a charm and looks amazing.

I now use it for day trips to the skate-park and my work materials. I'm especially stoked on the overall feel and quality. It will definitely last a while!

    Great backpack for every day

I use this bag almost every day. I bought it for the laptop sleeve. It's the only bag I know of that can carry a 17" MacBook with ease.

      Width

I love the backpack. I love the straps on the front where I can strap my rolled-up sleeping mat against the pack. I love the handy pockets all over the pack, especially the hidden one in front with a side zipper— I didn't notice it until about a month later (I got excited).

What I don't love is that the hooks for the front straps are not secure enough— they're designed poorly so that if they are not tight enough, the straps will fall out. I also don't like the aesthetic width of the backpack when I use it for commuting.

Overall, the pack is great for outdoor adventures and packing for 3 days worth of supplies.

      Favorite Backpack

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I love the Burton Annex Backpack. It has a lot of niffty compartments and great for everyday use. It's also a great backpack for travel. The one thing that bothers me is that the straps in the front easily can undo. Otherwise it's a great backpack and I highly recommend it.

Pockets for all of your knick knacks

      • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I sent this bag to my dad for his birthday this year when my mom mentioned that he needed a new bag for traveling. When I think of my dad, Burton is not usually what comes to mind first, but this bag in the black color is simple enough to cross generations and styles. It is super functional - it has pockets for all of his travel docs and keeps his ipad safe. Plus it has the side pockets so he can keep some stuff separate from the main compartment for quick access. He has already taken it on one trip and felt it was a huge upgrade from the cheapo bag he used to use.

      Sweet bag

Recently picked up this bag for every day use; going to and from work, etc. It's got great volume and is very stylish. I love the two side pockets as well. I'll probably take it up riding this season as well. If you need a great backpack for just about anything, this will do the trick.
