For those dang, swashbucklin' storms.

Built for those bottomless powder days, the Burton Men's AK 2L Swash Gore-Tex Pant are designed to keep you hot-lapping the hills like a dog frapping around the park. Constructed with the ultimate in waterproof protection courtesy of a Gore-Tex 2-layer membrane, this pant keeps you pleasantly dry, even in the harshest winter conditions and deepest powder. Its mesh lining and taffeta panels not only offer warmth in areas prone to heat loss, but also wick away moisture and dry quickly. Not only that, but the fully taped seams prevent outside moisture from leaking through and spoiling all your fun. Test-I-Cool venting runs from knee-to-knee for rapid ventilation of built-up perspiration and heat. Add in the extra storage of cargo pockets, as well as anti-scuff cuffs for a no-nonsense pant that's ready for anything the mountain throws its way.

  • A hard-wearing, weatherproof pant for lapping powder
  • Waterproof, breathable Gore-Tex protects against precipitation
  • Taffeta and mesh lining wick away moisture and dry quickly
  • Fully taped seams bolster defense against moisture
  • Inner thigh ventilation assures temperature regulation
  • Myriad of pockets keep necessities close

Best pants I've owned

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: large

They're light, dry, and warm. The pockets and vents are functional.

I usually wear 34/30 jeans, which makes snowboard pants a bit hard to get. Anything with a waste that large is too long and I step on the bottom of the pants in the parking lot. I bought a large for these and really like them because there is a length adjustment on the back of your ankle and I can finally get rid of that problem.

I see a lot of people mention these are not durable. I only have a dozen days on them so far so I can't comment on that. I hope they hold up long term because so far I'm quite happy with them.

Falling apart first season

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

The crotch seam has come undone, and holes have worn through in less than two weeks of normal riding. Burton's warranty fix is to sew different colored patches over the holes. Other reviews seem to confirm the lack of durability in the fabric these are made from. Very disappointed.

Terrible cut

If you are wondering how these fit then let me tell you. I wear about a size 34 for most brands and the skinny fit stuff usually pushing me into the 36 range. I’m not a big overweight type of guy. I figured the large would be best and conservative on the fit. I’m blown away how tight they are. Absolutely not true to size. They run small and have about a 34” inseam so if you are 5’10 like me then these thing will be way too long. I’m blown away that I did not fit the large. There is no brand or pant that doesn’t fit me in a large. Try again Burton.

    Questionable durability

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Medium

The seat of these pants were destroyed by a wooden picnic table at Kirkwood. Beware. For nearly $400, you'd think they could withstand lunch at a picnic table. I only wore these things for about 10 riding days, and they're shot out.
Super disappointed. Look out for my butt out at Eagle Bowl sometime.

    Premature wear, no?

    Dry and light

Keep me dry and warm, never any problems. Will definitely buy another pair and would recommend to others.

      Straight outta AK

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size

These have been my favorite snowboarding pants by far, as expected from anything in the Burton AK line. These hold up great, are durable, extremely waterproof, fit true and look good. I like the durable double button to keep your pants on even after several lift beers, and the deep pockets to carry around all those money $tack$. The inner leg vents are great and open it all the way around in an "n" shape rather than a straight opening like on most pants. 10/10 would buy again.
