cool

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

makes my face hurt less when the wind is blowing and goodies are coming down. can also double as a dew rag and head band! the purple color combo I chose looks real good

Great option!

This isn’t my favorite material but for most days I really like it

    You really can't go wrong

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Over the past few years, my husband and I have started to realize the magic of the Buff as a small but crucial piece of clothing. We use them all the time - on our wrists when we are sweaty, on our neck when it's cold, and I use them for headbands when I don't want to shower. There are so many fun colors, too!

    Skiing buff

    • Fit: True to size

I bought this for my son for skiing. He really likes it. Not too heavy but still keeps his face protected from the elements.

    Buff baby

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is a great product overall. I use mine for mtn biking on chilly PNW days and skiing when I don't need a full fleece neckwarmer. Overall the material is wicking and does not seem to pick up odor easily.

    Cool design!

Better than the Plain Black one!

      Da Buff

The buff looked as expected, but the material was a bit thinner than I would've liked. It helped block the wind, but throughout the day it wasn't enough to keep my face very warm.

        I love a buff!

Its been through the wringer. I love it for working outside, mowing the lawn, or walking around the amusement park! I keep it wrapped around my head to keep the critters out. LOVE THIS THING!

        Skiing Essential

A Buff is a must for skiing here in the Wasatch given the amount of snow we receive. I've always felt they're a little overpriced for essentially being a tube of fabric. It'd be great if the two ends were at least hemmed but it's hard to deny how versatile and functional they are.

          sweet buff

          • Fit: True to size

Is it comfortable enough that I forget I have it on? Yes. Do I have a lot less sunburns? Yes. Do I look like some kind of river ninja in it? That is up to you.

          Lola Buff

          • Familiarity: I've used it several times
          • Fit: True to size

Ordered this buff in Lola and I do like it, but I can only give it 4 stars as I wish the material is made of would be slightly more elastic and the red color would as intense as presented on site (in reality it's a bit closer to brick red). This being said the buff looks pretty good and it is very functional, I use it often, especially for hiking.

          Buff

very nice fabric, there an equilibrium between warm and cool . Fibonacci's print its my favorite design

            Keepin' the weather off...

On a paddle day filled with sleet/snow/rain being driven by 40+ knot winds, my buff is a key piece, not so much for warmth, but more to keep my face from been shredded by the cheese grater in the sky..

            Awesome product

            • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Buffs are great for everything from long river trips, to a day at the crag, to a warmer day on the ski hill.

Seriously though, I love these things. I just bought 4 more for an adventure up Mount Kilimanjaro, but I know I'll be breaking into them well before that. If I could get away wearing these in the office everyday, even without any need to whatsoever, I totally would.

Hiking, skiing, fishing, yard work, yoga, beaching it, as a headband to match a cute outfit, you name it, these work for any thing. I have the original and the UV, along with a headband version, and I use them all the time. Great for soaking in a mountain steam to cool off or covering my face while skiing in the cold but not extreme temperatures in the winter.

They're cute, comfy, come in about a million colors, and are so versatile in the ways you can wear them. I usually opt for headband or lower face coverage, but I'm experimenting with all the other ways to wear them too!

So great my daughter tried to steal it.

I picked up a buff as I was about to head on a family vacation hitting the big 5 in Utah (starting in Vegas and ending in Denver). It was August, and going to be hot (but dry), and thought it would be nice to get the sun off my neck or to pour some water on it to help cool off. It stayed in my pocket the entire trip and was constantly being pulled out. It helped me stay cool as described, and my daughter kept trying to steal it. It was used around the neck, completely over the head, as a bandana, as a bandana under a sun hat, and took constant water to help us keep cool.

            Great for everything

            • Size Bought: One size

This half buff kept me warm enough on the very cold days and was still thin enough for a warm mountain day. Definitely helped keep the sun of my neck and face. Feels great.

The original Buff is great for all seasons - a nice, lightweight
covering for skiing when you need to keep the chill off your face as well as an awesome piece of gear for summer hiking to keep the sun off your neck, cool you down when soaked in water or as an impromptu headband for those super sweaty days. A must have.

            Unfinished edges

            • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I prefer the Half Buff, but I gave this as a gift and it is well loved on the mountain skiing or back packing. Very versatile and light weight. Worth the ounces on any trip.

"Brocade Pink" colors not as pictured

            • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
            • Fit: True to size

I just received my order of several Buffs from Backcountry which has a great online collection of types and patterns. However, stay away from the "Brocade Pink" design if you are looking for vibrant colors like those shown in the photo online. The one I received is very washed-out looking and the colors are very faded, as though it had been run through the washer with bleach. Sadly, I have to return it. I am giving the Brocade Pink Buff a 3 star rating, because it is "adequate for the job," but I give it no stars for looks. Back it goes!
