Boardworks Raven Stand-Up Paddleboard

Fly across the water like a Raven.

When Orville Wright built the first stand-up paddleboard in Edinburgh in 1492 (Right? History was never our best subject), he made it out of whale blubber, old planks, and canvas, and never imagined that one day an SUP might be as light, fast, and easy to use as the Boardworks Raven. It's Boardworks' most popular offering for a reason: the TEC-V construction is light and durable, the Native-American-inspired bamboo veneer is seriously good-looking, and the shape is perfect for touring, fitness, and recreational paddling on whatever flat water you can find. A single fin helps the Raven track like an arrow through bays, down rivers, and across lakes, while the portage handle and tie-downs make travel a no-sweat proposition.

Great board

I use this SUP on lakes for workouts, and its the perfect board. It paddles straight and is very stable. I have never used a SUP before and was concerned that the with my weight (225)this board would handle well and carry speed.I really love this board!

    Wow good

How much does the 10'6" Raven weigh? Also, does it have a plug/vent? Thanks.

The board for everyone in the family

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

My folks have this board and I use it in the canal behind the house every time I go to visit. Everyone in the family from the smallest cousins to the biggest Grandpa can use this board and be comfortable on the water.

The board has a very flat bottom that makes it very stable and quick to get up to speed. The wide middle and the thick side rails also add to the stability and comfort. The thick rails and the overall thickness of the board keep water from splashing up on the board during colder months which is nice. Even though the board is very thick, the deck is recessed giving you a more grounded feel. The padded deck is soft yet grippy with ridged foam making it ideal for yoga poses and aggressive paddling.

The board is lightweight and with the handle in the middle of the deck it is very easy to transport. The handle also makes it very easy to take in and out of the water.

The nose of the board slices through the water to give it speed and will handle small chop. I have taken the board out on the river on a windy day with small choppy waves and the board sliced them up like butter. The shape of the nose and tail make the board track really well. The tie down points on the front come in handy to strap a dry bag down.

If you have any questions on the Raven, want to chat about the board, or want to put through an order give me a shout directly.

This is my favorite board in the line. The bamboo deck and graphics are beautiful too. I don't have an ocean near by so this is what I paddle most days. It is really stable and offers great glide. The front deck strap attachments mean you can take gear with you for that extended adventure. Super nice feel with enough rocker to ride downwinder too.
