Lady shredders rejoice.

Blizzard just let a whole new set of women's freeride skis loose on the slopes and these things rip. The widest ski in this collection, the Sheeva 11 was designed for ladies who crush the steep and deep on a regular basis. The 112mm waist and rockered profile makes the Sheeva your ultimate weapon of choice on days where the snow stake reads double digits and you decide to "work from home."

The Sheeva 11 features Blizzard's famous Carbon Flipcore DRT technology with a women's specific twist—two layers of carbon fiberglass are added to the core, making this a lighter ski than its male counterpart, the Rustler 11. The snappy turn radius and multi-layer wood core give the Sheeva a nimble, playful feel that you might not expect from such a burly big-mountain ski, but it comes in handy when you're navigating tight trees or maneuvering through the entrance of a tight couloir. The sandwich construction maintains edge grip and stability on hardpack, so you can clock high speeds with confidence when conditions are tracked out.

  • A fun freeride ski for ripping chicks
  • 112mm waist sails through powder
  • Rockered profile offers excellent flotation
  • Multi-layer wood core offers a smooth flex and playful feel
  • DRT Titanal layer underfoot for added stability
  • Carbon fiberglass layers are light and strong
  • Sandwich construction carves well on hardpack

Favorite Demo

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I went to a demo and this was by far my favorite pair of skis!! I am a beginner to intermediate skier and had never tried powder skis. I quickly realized what i had been missing out on and will be purchasing a pair of these later this year. Highly recommend!

Ripping women's ski

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought this for my mum for Christmas. She is an aggressive advanced skier, but loves to make beautiful turns and doesn't want to have to drive the ski too hard. This is what she said:
LOVED this ski, so much fun both in bounds and out. I was very surprised given the width underfoot at how well this ski performed in crud, on groomers and in moguls. It skied all soft snow conditions well being super playful and easy to maneuver. The Sheeva 11 of course excels in deep powder snow and I’d highly recommend it as a one quiver powder ski for resort and side country skiing.

Blizzard is Awesome!

These skis are freaking revolutionary!!! Seriously. I was a little intimidated by them at first with all the reviews that say you have to be the most ripping chick on the mountain to have these skis. I'd say I'm in the early stages of being an advanced skier. These skis definitely push you to send it forwards down the hill while also giving you a lot of security and maneuverability in the size and design of them. I don't know much about the technical aspects of skis but I will say that you'll feel like you're flying while also feeling in control and like you're on very receptive skis.

Float down the hill in these bad boys. These are so light weight and fun to play around in. Absolutely sails through powder. Hardly any chatter on a choppy day, they take the impact of the bumps and sail right on through. The recommended mounting is a bit more forward than what I am used to. It pushes you to lean with the mountain and cruise down the hill. Took me a few days to get used to but now I am SOLD. If you are worried about the mounting have the shop set them just a tad back if you are used to sitting in a chair style of skiing. My suggestion is to go with the flow, bend your knees, and SEND IT down the hill!

Thanks for a wonderful and thoughtful review, Jess!

      Recommended Sizing Guide

Your ski size is largely determined by both your skiing ability and your preffered style of skiing. For example, an expert skier on in Vermont will ski a far different ski than an expert in British Columbia. So take a look at our chart and explanations and find your perfect fit. Your weight also plays a large factor in finding the right ski. If you are either under or over average weight for your height consider downsizing or upsizing, respectively.
