Wood is good, but Flipcore is the best. That's the theory behind the Cochise Jr. Kids' Ski, which cribs Blizzard's Flipcore technology from its adult skis to make a top-shelf kids' powder ski with a smooth flex, consistent turning ability, and plenty of float in the soft stuff. The specially designed wood core is actually pressed upside down to align the rocker profile with the flex of the core, meaning the ski flexes naturally along its entire length, making it fun, lively, and easy for little riders to control.
The rockered tip and tail smooth out bumpy snow, help the Cochise Jr. sail through powder, and make it easy to initiate turns and control speed, while camber underfoot lets your grom rip hardpack turns with supreme confidence. Full sidewalls provide plenty of edging powder and keep the Cochise Jr. nice and durable—not that kids would ever beat up their equipment.
