Durable BD Quality!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

After misplacing my belay gloves a while ago i had to give in and pick up a new pair. the durability and quality of these at a reasonable price made them a no brainer to pick up. they fit me true to size.

Not Bad!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I got these most for rappelling but they are also great for belaying or any thing you may need hand protection for, such as using an axe for chopping wood or lifting heavy rocks ect... They run a little big I would say. I got a size large but should of gotten a medium. Built tough!

Pretty cool

Bought it for my daughter, protects the hands while allowing dexterity during a belay session with the grandkids.

    Love these gloves

These gloves are so great! I've had mine for about 3 years now and they have molded perfectly to my hands. At first, I thought they were a little small, but now they fit great. I actually like that they are more form fitting rather than loose. I feel like I have more control that way. Although sometimes they are hard to get off without turning them inside out. I have always loved Black Diamond quality and gear, and I can say these met that expectation. I recently got a pair for my husband and he loves them too!

    Great gloves.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought these in a size medium and they were a perfect fit. I use them a lot on the trail, they are
on for at least 6 hours, no problems with fatigue. They are very comfortable and as I expect from BD, very well made.

    Fit like a glove

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

At first, they seem really stiff and hurt my hands when I wear them. I looked up online and decided to soak and air dry them while wearing them. Now they fit perfectly! I even typed this review wearing the gloves!

    Fit like a glove

What size did you purchase? Do they fit perfect or run large or small? I normally wear a medium, but trying to figure out whether to purchase medium or small.

I'm between medium and small and I went for the small.

    Best gloves for climbing

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The hardest part of climbing is what it does to your hands. Proper protection for your hands can be hard to find for the crag, but these gloves are perfect for it. The 3/4 finger design allows dexterity while still preventing blisters from forming. When catching your climber who just took a gnarly whipper, you don't want to risk melting the skin off your hands. Trust me it's no fun. Use these gloves every time you belay or repel and you will see a noticeable difference in how clean your hands stay and how little fatigue you experience. The hearty leather design gives you a long lasting comfortable fit, and really smooth rappels, and the Kevlar stitching will make these gloves last a long time. The hole in the strap lets you clip them to you so that you can take them anywhere with no worry of them falling out of your pocket. I'd recommend these to any climber who wants to prevent an injury to your hands. When these wear out I will buy it again. It's that good!

    Thumb Crotch - Medium

    Back of Hand - Medium

The fingerless glove is kind of frumpy in terms of the fit for a Medium. Normally I either fill out a Medium glove or run small on a size Large glove.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've been using this glove for long aid and free routes. It's held up better so far than any other glove I've used. The stitching seems particularly sturdy. It's comfy and retains dexterity well with the partial fingers.
