    • Black Diamond's solution for solving sport climbs
    • Fusion Comfort construction reduces pressure in sensitive areas
    • Contoured for comfort and a full range of motion
    • Single Speed buckle ensures a quick-and-easy fit
    • Adjustable, releasable elastic risers keep a snug fit
    • Four pressure-molded gear loops ensure storage for long pitches

Packs down well and easy to carry

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

This harness is perfect for sport climbing and those that need a harness that can packs down well into a tight space. It comes with a nice little string bag for packing it into my backpack.

I've let others around the crag use it as well and they all comment about how comfortable it is.

My thighs were right on the upper limit of the leg loops (gym squatting thighs) and it seemed a little tight initially but it stretched a tad after use, making it perfectly comfortable. This is especially true if I wear shorts made from thiner materials.

Love the bright blue color. Only drawback I see here is that it doesn't hide dirt marks as well as other colors so washing it once a week is a must to keep it looking vibrant and clean while I climb outside.

    Super comfy all-arounder

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I've been climbing in the Solution for over a year now doing both sport and trad and I am super happy with it.

*PRICE- $56 on sale is an amazing deal for this harness considering its quality and design. It's a great deal even at retail price of $75.

*COMFORT- by far the comfiest harness I've worn. I've owned a BD momentum and a petzl corax before this and the solution is far more comfy despite having much thinner webbing. I was concerned about the elastic leg loops since I've always had adjustable ones before, but they are super convenient and comfortable. I now prefer this design to ones with buckles. Sometimes I have to adjust them when hanging, but it's very easy and not a problem at all. The solution also perfectly distributes weight from gear on your hips. Even with a double rack on, the harness is comfy and you barely feel the gear. My old petzl corax had super thick webbing and weighed a ton but was not nearly as comfortable for hanging in and it sagged real bad on my hips when racked with gear.

*MATERIAL AND PROFILE- material is very durable with no noticeable wear anywhere on mine after a year and nothing fraying. The profile is amazing because it's so slim and packs down in to your pack like nothing.

*WEIGHT- this harness is super light which is a benefit for any discipline. Compared to my old petzl corax, this harness feels like a feather.

*LOOKS- not really important but I like the blue and black design.

*GEAR LOOPS- The gear loops are a bit small, BUT I can still easily fit a double rack of gear on my harness by racking more efficiently and clipping doubles of items together to preserve space. This was a change up from my Corax which could hold a ton of gear, but I've had no issues adjusting my racking style over to the solution and it's never given me issues leading trad when I'm sorting through gear on my harness. The comfort of the harness is WELL worth the change in racking style.

OVERALL- I am super happy with this harness. I originally got it as a sport harness and was thinking I would get a secondary one for trad, but the comfort of this harness is so great that I don't want to wear anything else. (Edit- sorry for the wall of text. It doesn't allow paragraph separation)

    Light and durable

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Solid harness whether your headin to the gym or spending a day at the crag, this harness will handle it all

    GREAT SPORT HARNESS

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The best harness I have ever used!!! Extremely comfortable to hang in and never "cuts" in to you. Stays out of the way always. Would recommend to a pro or beginner!

    Second Harness

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have been climbing for a couple of years now, and this is the second harness I got. It has been such an awesome upgrade from my old harness. It is lightweight and small which is nice when I need to hike a bit farther to get up to some cliffs. It is easy to put away, and stash in my backpack, which has come in handy when I am canyoneering Zion, and have to do some quick repels throughout the canyon.

    Black Diamond Solution Harness

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is my second Solution harness! I absolutely love how light and comfortable is and you only have to deal with one buckle (waist). The leg loops are not adjustable so it helps to try the harness before you buy. I heard some people are having problem with the sizing.

    I love this Harness

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This harness is light and comfy. I had a lot of hang time last weeks and never felt uncomfortable. I also took several falls of about 10 ft on it and it was super smooth.
    10/10 would recomend

    Good for the price

It's pretty confortable harness, loops are rather small, expect to run out of space for longer routes

      Would definitely recommend purchasing!

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I've only used this harness once at the gym so far since purchasing. Initial impressions are hanging from this harness is extremely comfortable. The harness is high quality and great value for the price point. The only thing I wish it had adjustable leg straps to better fit the pants I climb in. Definitely a minor issue though.

      Awesome Sport Harness

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Had this bad boy for a while now and absolutely love it. Very lightweight and sits well around your legs/waist. Plenty of space on the gear loops for my twelve draws , two anchors, PAS, and my ATC.

Haven't taken a whipper on it (thankfully) so I can't speak on what that feels like, but knowing BD that is something they would not have overlooked.

Good but gear loops are small

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Nice and comfortable but gear loops are too small, even for sport climbing. And for trad, i don't know how to put the rack in these tiny loops. I know this is a sport harness but why buy a harness for both sport and trad, I like the light feel of a sport harness on trad routes. Also, i'm not that rich to carry 2 harnesses for different climbs. So, a little wider gear loop is the only missing part of this good design.

      Low Profile

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This harness is great for sport climbing. Very light and fits well.

      Nice and Comfy

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I just got this harness to replace my old Metolius Safetech. I like the swami suspension system in this harness as it distributes the load more evenly on my hips for a comfy catch. I do wish the gear loops were just 1 carabiners width wider, but it's not deal breaker.

      Gear loops

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The gear loops are really tiny on this harness. 90 percent of the routes I'm climbing in my area are 50-ish ft. sport climbs, so it will work well for that, but any 100+ ft. sport, and especially trad., routes would be a huge stretch in this harness.

      Great Sport Harness

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I picked up this harness last spring when my momentum needed replacing and I love it! Streamlined and lightweight, doesn't feel bulky at all. Works out great in the gym and performs very well at the crag too. Carries all the gear I need when sport climbing. Wide leg loops and waist belt spread out the force and make this harness very comfortable to fall in.

I wouldn't suggest if for long trad lines or big walls as it is not too padded and may be uncomfortable to hang in all day. But for shorter trad routes, sport or gym climbing it's phenomenal!

      Great Sport Harness

      Great harness

I use this harness for all my climbing in the gym and outside (sport&trad). Comfortable waist belt and leg loops if you find yourself hanging. Only minor things I’ve found are that the gear loops are kinda small. Other than that, awesome harness.

        Best Harness Ever Made

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I use this for both sport and Trad climbing (unless in off-width). This is the most comfortable harness, and at the price, it is a no brainer.

        Awesome product

        • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Great intro harness, fits well. Even though the legs don't adjust they still feel great and safe.

        Great Harness

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is the first harness I purchased as I am new to the sport and I must say I am not disappointed. I am about 6'2 190lbs and went with a size Large and the fit and comfort is great.
