I have worn these hiking and under harness in a climbing gym. I feel very comfortable in them..the material is breathable and allows for movement. 5’4” 123lb, purchased XS

Miss the old fit!

I bought a pair of BD Notion pants in 2019 when I started climbing and they were the perfect pant on the wall, puttering around the house, or going out when you don't want to wear sweats and you don't want to wear jeans. I loved them so much I wore huge holes in the crotch and after repairing them probably 4-5 times, i surrendered to the idea of getting new pants. The new Notion pants are not the same fit, they are way more tighter in the butt and thighs and give me camel toe. I could be wrong but I think the old pants were 100% cotton as they had no stretch -- these have 2% elastane which makes them feel hot (temperature, not seggsy), cheap, and like they're going to get absolutely shredded by my very strong (thick) thighs. I see pretty much all the reviews say these run large, but my old Notions were a small, and my new notions, also a small, are wayyyy tighter. Hoping they stretch out. Honestly, the thing I'm happiest about is that the Storm Blue color is cooler in real life than in the pics -- I was worried they were more of a Spring blue but they are definitely a perfect Summer blue.

Poor fit

REALLY wanted to love these, the material and color were very nice. The fit.... pretty subpar like other reviewers mentioned, wish I would have listened so I didn't have to go through the return process. 5'3 and 125# and sized down to an XS for reference, was super tight on my booty but absolutely gapping in the waist.

Read a bunch of reviews and ordered a medium. Fit was terrible. Returned immediately. But still haven’t received a refund.

Comfortable pants

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Material is soft and comfortable. Comfortable to wear. Agree material may not be tough enough for rock climbing. Runs on the large side so best to buy a size down. Wish had 1 zipper pocket. Back pockets are too long and as such not functional for carrying anything and front pocket somewhat shallow.

Comfortable material

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

The cotton material is nice, just what I was looking for. The front pockets are awkward and pucker strangely. These are the kind of pants that grow a bit as you wear them and the crotch in the front starts looking strange. That in combination with the gappy pockets makes these pants awkward. So, these are good for general use, but you will probably want to wear a different pair when you get together with your friends... These pants not worth the price.

Good quality

This are some pretty awesome pants but I'm going to stick the black diamond's SP pants as I feel like they have a better overall fit on me

A bit stiff

Familiarity:

I normally wear a size Large (8-10) but opted for the Medium based on reviews. I have an athletic build and found these to be tight around my butt. I couldn't really see myself climbing in these since they feel a little stiff and squeeze me too much on my waist and calves. I could see these being comfy hiking pants for someone shorter but wouldn't recommend them to someone tall since the ankle elastic is tight around the calves. I liked the pockets and the Bordeux color is really pretty!

Not durable enough for rock climbing

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Agree with the other reviewers that these run huge (I'm 5'9" and 125 lbs and got an XS and they were still big.) However, that's not my biggest complaint. These are not nearly durable enough to be considered rock climbing pants. I took a small spill on the approach in these pants and they ripped. (Contrast that with the Prana Halle pants that have been fallen in and put through the wringer for many years and still going strong.) They're also starting to split in the seam at the butt. (When you put the pants up to the light, you can see holes forming by the seam.) These are good for a walk around town or a walk in the park, but they don't stand up to being "rock climbing pants."
