Black Diamond Neutrino Carabiner
Black DiamondNeutrino Carabiner

Ultralight, resistant to freezing, and easy to clip—get it all with the Black Diamond Neutrino Carabiner.

The Black Diamond Neutrino Carabiner brings you full-strength, easy-to-clip performance at an incredibly light weight of 1.3oz. Unlike other ultralight carabiners, the Neutrino has a large gate opening, so it won't feel like you're trying to clip into a keychain when you're totally gripped and Elvis leg is rocking your blue-suede climbing shoes. Because of its freeze-proof wire gate and ultralight design, the Black Diamond Neutrino hangs from trad, ice, and alpine racks the world over.

Rackalicious

Perfect biners for color coding your rack! Matches the BD cam colors and other brand's colors. Lightweight, relatively small, colored, what more can you ask for?

Great biner for the price

an excellent carabiner for the price. Simple wire gate and clean lines.

Great for the Price

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I use these for my alpine draws, quick draws, and racking biners. I have never had any problems with the gates or durability. They get the job done and are a simple straight forward design. Will always have these on my rack.

Best racking carabiner around

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I use neutrinos to rack all of my black diamond cams. They are small and light which is great when carrying a bunch of gear on your harness. These carabiners are also color coded to match all of black diamonds cams which makes choosing the right cam a lot easier when you're getting pumped on the wall.

Use these for my Alpine Draws

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are smaller than the Hotwires, which I use for the rope end of my Alpine draws since they are bigger and easier to clip into. The Neutrino's smaller size can make it harder to clip into sometimes, but over all they do exactly what they are supposed to, and feel strong an durable as well. The wire gate is great - perfect amount of spring.

Great!

Nice Simple Carabiner. Cool colors, you open it and clip in. Doesnt get simpler than this.

    Good biner

Nothing super ground breaking, but they come in funky colors so I can make sure people dont steal my hardware when racking up.

    Neutrinos Are the New Biners

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Simple, light, and strong. What more can you ask for? These bad boys shed down a ton of weight on a trad rack. I like to pick up the multi-colored rack pack to organize my Camalots and these individual Neutrinos go a long way when paired with a sling for alpine draws. I even like to keep an extra Neutrino on my harness just to crack open beers on a climb.

They are small, so they are a bit fumbly to clip when wearing gloves. But since they are so friggin' light, a full sized biner can't really compare. Also, the fact that they're $5 each makes them even more awesome.

    Pure gold.

For the price, these carabiners are the best around. They match my BD cams perfectly, and they stay strong for seasons.

      Great 'biner for most uses

This carabiner is great for racking gear and even clipping ropes. I probably wouldn't build alpine draws with them but I like the assortment of colors they come in so that I can be that annoying guy who matches his biners to his cams.

        Good Standard Biner

These biners are BD's price point biner and they are great as a standard biner. No frils but they are great for matching with same color cams.

          There's Better Options

          • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Have been using an array of biners over the years and this happens to be my least favorite out of the CAMP Photons, BD Hoodwires, and Trango Phase. The nose is sharper than most and seems to get hung up on bolts, ice screws, and everything else. Shop around and find something better.

          Pretty legit

It's a good carabiner, seems solid and durable.

            What else do you need?

            • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Sturdy, durable, multiple color options to match gear which make gear selecting faster when it counts

            Great Buy!

Solid, Sturdy, gets the job done. loved the color option. highly recommended.

              Good but hard to clip

              • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have a set of these. They work and are definitely solid, i just find that everything snags on them. I switched my rack over to cypher ceres II and find my clipping is a lot easier and the shape is much more conducive to quick clips. Just my .02 though.

              Solid Carabiner

Sturdy, durable, color coded to the cam, easy to open, and it gets the job done. Solid 'biner!

                'tis a good 'biner

                • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've used Neutrino's since I started climbing. Great on quickdraws and also just to attached odds and ends to your harness. I don't have much experience with other wiregates because I like this one so much. I have one attached to my nalgene at all times (hydrate or die!) as well as a bunch that go with me on any climb. From rock to ice to steep snow, this is my go to.

                get the job done

                • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These carabiners are the best. Awesome for building alpine draws for a beginning trad climber.

                Quality

These are great quality for the price, they are pretty light weight too. I use them for my hammock and hanging things to my pack.
