This assisted braking device forgoes the use of any moving components to add friction to the climbing rope; instead, the ATC Pilot pinches the rope whenever it tugs too hard on the climber's side, ensuring naturally reliable friction every time. This package includes Black Diamond's GridLock Screwgate Locking Carabiner that complements the ATC Pilot perfectly, and there's a small clip at the bottom for your harness to prevent any cross-loading.
