Cover your corpus.
The French Alps breed ski mountaineers, freeriders, and everyone in between, so Chamonix-based Black Crows designed the Corpus Men's 3-Layer Bib Pant to keep shredders of all stripes happy, dry, and looking great. The Corpus is made from ultra-rugged polyester with a three-layer Gore-Tex membrane and fully taped seams to keep water and snow out, and it has a relaxed freeride fit that's functional and stylish at the same time. It's super functional, but every detail is designed to look good—the suspenders that hold up the removable bib have a subtle chevron pattern, the cargo and bib pockets have low-key snaps to keep your gear from falling out, and the mesh-lined inseam vents seal up with zippers that offer a little bit of sly contrast.
The Corpus also balances its fly look with high-alpine functionality, so you can get into some serious Cham-level stuff without overwhelming your gear. If you want to go low profile and save weight, you can remove the bib and use the adjustable waist tabs to keep your pants up. The cuffs feature ankle-length zippers as well as elevators that allow you to set the cuffs up at ski, hike, or aprés heights. Integrated scuff patches keep edges and crampons from slicing up your cuffs, and internal elastic gaiters (with a striking chevron print) keep snow from sneaking down into your boots. Black Crows finished the Corpus off with a RECCO reflector for safety backup, and topped everything off with enough pockets to make a pack almost redundant.

- Q & A
A Lightweight Shield
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Medium
I've had these for a couple weeks now, and I enjoy them more and more each time I take them up on the mountain. I've worn them through a couple of snowstorms and have skied some good powder days with them, and they haven't come close to wetting through. Again, they're incredibly lightweight, they have plenty of great pockets- a couple with water resistant zippers- and they will keep you nice and dry.
I'm 5'11 and approx 165 or 170, and I went with the medium. I was nervous at first, but the mediums fit perfectly and the larges would have been way too big.
