We step into the Black Crows Camox Freebird Ski to find some sanctuary deep in the backcountry when we need to get away from the ski resort. Boasting a lightweight paulownia core and balanced width, we trust these planks to take us anywhere we need to go. Built with the same shaping as the freeride-inspired Camox ski, we trust the balanced turn radius for tight powder glades, or opening up our turns a bit in spring corn.
We trust this member of the Freebird line for committing descents thanks to a carbon laminate that provides an energetic release from each turn, perfect for hop-turning down couloirs. The paulownia wood core comes in handy when ripping down the fall line, helping the ski absorb bumps and eliminate tip and tail chatter, all at a minimal weight.
