Bjorn Daehlie Hybrid Pullover Fleece Sweater - Women's

Cold with a chance of cozy.

When you head out with your classic skis on the kind of bright, cloudless morning that can only be accompanied by appropriately brisk temperatures, bring along the Bjorn Daehlie Women's Half-Zip Hybrid Pullover Fleece Sweater to make sure you're warm enough to enjoy your workout. As you glide past trees covered in glittering fresh snow and feel your heart rate climb in the icy air, the Hybrid's breathable construction will provide subtle insulation without trapping heat. The blend of synthetic fibers continuously wicks moisture, while the brushed interior keeps you toasty warm. A high collar seals out harsh gusts of wind, and a single kangaroo pocket in front allows you to stash mid-workout chocolates somewhere they won't freeze or melt.

  • Stay warm on the classic track with this breathable midlayer
  • Regular fit layers easily over a thin baselayer
  • Polyester/elastane blend wicks moisture continuously
  • Brushed fleece lining creates lofted layer of insulation
  • High collar blocks harsh gusts of wind
  • Front pocket provides a safe spot for stowing cargo

I was surprised by how thin this hoodie felt when I first pulled it out of the box (it felt more like a long-sleeve jersey shirt, and less like fleece), but it SHINES when you're breaking a sweat uphill or cross-country. Wind resistant for it's weight (and the well-designed neckline makes a huge difference for that), I felt like I could shed some BTUs while moving down the trail without getting clammy or overheated. Sleeves long enough for lanky ladies (!) at 5'8 . Would love to see layer in more colors, although the pink zipper tabs on this were pretty neat!

This shirt is easy to throw in the wash, and the grey is a little lighter than it looks in the picture. I've worn this skate skiing and running, and I would recommend it for similar cardio activities - it's more technical than it first appeared, so it excels when you're working, but it wouldn't be the warmest hoodie for just hanging out. I haven't had occasion to use the hood yet, but I expect I will next time I head into the rain for a trail run. European brands always seem to make great cuts for athletic women, and Bjorn Daehlie is no exception!
