Jetpack V2 XL Bike Travel Case

Think of the Biknd Jetpack V2 XL Bike Travel Case as a first class seat for your favorite mountain bike when you're flying to distant locales, embarking on a riding roadtrip, or placing your bike into storage for the off-season. Seeing this Jetback V2 XL is 10 centimeters longer than the standard version, it's specifically intended for modern mountain bikes with slacker, longer, and lower geometries, as well as those with wider Boost and Super Boost axles. However, it's not just for mountain bikes, accommodating a wide breadth of two-wheeled machines, ranging from carbon road to triathlon race bikes.

Helping you access your favorite bike, the Jetpack V2 XL Bike Travel Case features a dual-sided zippered opening, or what Biknd refers to as 360-degree opening. Rugged wheels allow you to roll it across bustling airport terminals and multiple grab handles make it easier to load into your vehicle and hand it to airline attendants. Plastic sheeting and foam along the exterior provides extra reinforcement from the dings, scratches, and drops along the way. Even better, there's an inflatable airbag that encompasses your favorite bike to provide additional shock absorption, should an airline attendant take liberty in tossing your carbon bike onto a conveyor belt or accidentally drop it onto hard ground.

Separate wheel compartments on each side keep your favorite hoops safe and secure, thanks to the built-in hub cap technology preventing the wheels from getting damaged or coming undone along the way. Inside the case, an aluminum tube runs along the full length of the bag, allowing you to attach your frame with axle fastenings that are available in quick-release, thru-axle, Boost, and Super Boost standards. In fact, Biknd includes 9/10 x 135, 12 x 142/150, 20 x 110, 12 x 100, 15 x 110, 12 x 148, and 12 x 157-millimeter adapters for a wide range of thru-axles and quick-releases, as well as 2-millimeter spacers (4) for fitting the bike of your choice into this travel case.

    • Premium travel case for long, slack mountain bikes
    • Also carries road, triathlon, gravel, and cross bikes
    • Inflatable airbag encompasses bike for shock protection
    • Separate wheel holders with hub attachment for security
    • Full-length aluminum tube with adaptable axle fastenings
    • Accommodates quick-release, thru-axles, Boost, Super Boost
    • Dual-sided, 360-degree zippered opening for easier access

Super good bag for the price

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

I purchased this bag because I go to Colorado at least once a year and Competitive Cyclist was running one heck of a deal on it at the time. I was a little intimidated because I had read stories where some people had trouble getting everything to fit in some bike bags. My first time (with instructions) I packed this thing in about a half hour. Super easy and everything fit great. When I was coming home I had to repack the bag in the dark with nothing but a bicycle light to help me see and again no problems. TSA opened it both times on my round trip and they didn't have any problems getting it back closed. Really good bag for the price. Haven't used any other bags so can't compare. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because mine was missing the inflatable pads for the wheels. I contacted biknd and got no response. I've seen where other people have had good experiences with their customer service but me, not so much. I didn't bother contacting Competitive Cyclist to see if they could help because I just used some pool noodles and they worked like a charm. BTW, I have a 29" trail bike in a size large running 2.5 tires. no problems at all fitting.

Any idea if it would keep a bike safe being shipped via UPS? Looking to possibly ship a 29er Enduro and concerned the airbag might not be enough padding.
