Get after it.
Whether you're heading out for an after work sunset ride with your closest gals or a rowdy Sunday afternoon testing new DH flow trails, shield your brain with the Bell Super 3R MIPS Helmet so you can go all in. This full-face helmet comes with serious protection for rugged DH and enduro racing, but with a removable chin bar and lightweight In-Mold construction, it won't weigh you down on mellower trail rides either.
The In-Mold partners of polycarbonate and EPS foam have long worked as a strong team in helmet construction, and they give the Super 3R protective properties without bulk when a user error sends you careening into low-hanging tree branches or flying over the handlebars. Inside the helmet, MIPS technology adds subtle but important protection in the form of a thin, flexible basket, which is designed to move slightly upon impact to absorb brain-damaging rotational energy generated by certain crashes. Add to that a breakaway camera mount and breakaway screws throughout the helmet's body, and your grey matter will be well-guarded if you misjudge a line and find yourself staring up at the sky.
In helmet design, comfort is almost as paramount to protection. After all, you and your bike will hopefully spend the majority of your ride time upright. To that end, Bell punched a whopping 23 vents throughout the body of the helmet, an impressive number that's further supplemented with four brow ports and six vents along the chin bar, making sure you'll have all the airflow you'll need on a hot summer day. X-Static padding adds cushion and comfort as the helmet rests against your noggin, while a Goggleguide adjustable visor accommodates your choice of eye shields without any fuss.

- Q & A
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Full face is a pretty cool design. Simple to take face bar on and off. Lightweight and feels great on. Wearing it as a half shell, on the other hand, looks Goofy as can be. The sides of the helmet are really far away from my head like an inch or so. Granted I have a skinny face but no other helmet has done that. Looks like a rice farmer hat on me.
The caption says "women's" helmet. Is there a specific reason for this? I prefer this style over the other colors for the same exact helmet.
BTW: I'm not a woman in case you're wondering. #Lol
Hey Vrej - The only reason this is "Women's" is the colors and graphics. The fit is the same as the Men's Super 3R MIPS Helmet. Feel free to contact me directly with any additional questions on this or other bike helmets.
