Bell Super 3 MIPS Helmet - Women's

Weekend companion.

You've got a big weekend planned exploring trails that have been on your list for a while now. After you pack the car and hit the road, you'll have 48 hours of riding by day and campfires by night with your crew to look forward to. Whether you're heading for the mountains, the woods, or the desert, throw the Bell Super 3 MIPS Women's Helmet in your bag to accompany you while you go big. As soon as you put the Super 3 on, you'll be glad you replaced your old, clunky helmet for this sleek new lid.

In addition to an In-Mold polycarbonate and EPS foam shell, Bell constructs the Super 3 with MIPS technology. MIPS appears in the helmet in the form of a thin liner that's designed to rotate upon impact to absorb the sloshing, rotational energy created in certain crashes.

Comfort deserves a high place when considering a helmet, especially for trail riding. Long climbs, traversing, and rolling terrain demand a lid that won't weigh you down or trap heat. Fortunately, Bell was all over it when designing the Super 3. It carved 23 vents into the helmet's body, plus additional channels along the brow. An integrated camera mount records your POV footage while you ride but breaks away in the event of a crash to protect your pricey gadget, and the adjustable visor works with your goggles of choice in case you can't resist jumping onto a DH flow trail for fun.

Not for me

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Great looking helmet. However not for me.
I have a super small head (Xs or S) and Bell helmets usually fot like a charm. I own last year's model, the Super 2R mips, and it fits great, minus a pressure point that gets really uncomfortable.
The Super 3 was supposed to have been updated to address this issue. But for me it was even MORE pressure points :-O Just by trying it on my head was hurting already. I really wanted to love this helmet but not happening...
