Extra lengths.

After the charm of the first few snowfalls of winter has worn off, pull on the Basin and Range Women's Wasatch 600 Down Parka and put winter back in its place. The down insulation's high warmth-to-weight ratio means you stay warm without being weighed down by a heavy winter coat. The DWR treated shell helps prevent moisture from soaking into the parka, keeping you dry and letting the down do its work. An insulated hood provides an extra line of defense against rain, wind, and cold, while the extended length of the parka helps protect your upper legs so you stay extra cozy.

  • A winter parka for bitter days when you need extra protection
  • Responsibly sourced down insulation for lightweight warmth
  • DWR treated fabric resists light precipitation
  • Insulated hood keeps head and neck comfortable in cold temps
  • Metaluxe zippers add stylish detail
  • Regular fit with knee length for extra coverage

Gave to my wife who’s always cold and verdict is she loves it and keeps her toasty.

Soft and Cozy!!!

Perfect jacket for Seattle life! It’s soft lightweight and the size is perfect! Never worn this brand before and now I can’t wait to order more.

Wondering if this hood is detachable? I can't tell from the pictures & the info section doesn't say that it is! Thanks...

Hey Kim, this hood is not detachable. Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions or would like help finding a jacket with a detachable hood. Cheers, Connor

    Not warm, odd proportions.

I live in Boston and bought this coat due to the reasonable price. This coat is not even remotely windproof or warm. i wore it on a mild day to test out and I was shivering. Also, has very bizarre cut, the waist and hip area is tight and the arms are massive. I look like a linebacker when wearing it. Will be sending back.

I am living in Connecticut and I wanted to buy it. So this is not windproof? Because this year we are experiencing more winds

    Stylish, Lightweight and Warm

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: small

This coat is now my go-to when the cold wind is up as I appreciate the length keeping my legs warm as well as torso. Size small is an excellent fit for me as I can layer a sweater and t-shirt underneath. It is an attractive cut as well. Not too bulky but certainly gives plenty of warmth. Especially like the hood as well as the higher neckline. All in all, very pleased.

    Lightweight, Warm, from Minnesota

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

    • Size Bought: Large

I bought this coat in the beginning of winter, and I wanted one that wouldn't make me look super bulky. I'm normally warm in basically any temperature, only time you may feel some cold is when its very windy and freezing, but just put more layers on and youll be good. I've worn it for many sub zero days and been happy! Mostly for causal wear. I'm tall so it ends about 2 inches before my knee. The arm length is great and the quality is wonderful. The fit is perfect to give some shape and still able to stay warm. It is a little snug in the waist area, so layering more than two layers is difficult. But I would say no more than that is needed.

    warmth without weight

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

I love how warm this coat is without being bulky. Some reviews said it was too tight in the hips and big on top but the Medium fits me perfectly. I am 5'7", 148 lbs with a 37 bust. The coat has simple slimming lines with a neat-fitting hood that doesn't have those rubber tighteners that are sort of a pain. Nice touches are the silver zipper and the dark blue iridescent lining.

    Do you know the length?

    Certain Fit

I read the reviews below so I ordered a Medium and it was too big. It is a super light and cozy jacket, just make sure you order the right size.

      Perfect Gift

My sister needed something to keep her warmer walking around Campus during the colder months. She has a Patagonia Nano Puff that she wears most days but this was perfect for one step warmer. She loves that it goes to her knees for that little bit of added warmth.
      Sizing was as she expected.

      Mom loves it

      • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
      • Fit: Runs small

Got this as a Christmas present for my mom and she loves it. With the south east having been so cold recently she has gotten a lot of use out of it so far. The fit is a little different but she still loves the jacket.

      Wife loves this Coat!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: Small

She's puzzled about some of the earlier reviews, the coat does fit a little more narrow in the hips which she does have a smaller lower torso but she is pretty average at 5'6" 130. The arms length is perfect, coat is super light weight but warm. Extremely affordable and she gets lots of compliments.

      Strange body shape/fit.

      • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
      • Fit: Runs small
      • Size Bought: Medium

I believe I'm pretty average sized, I suppose that's all relative. I ordered this coat in a Medium but it did not fit. It's sleeves were very short and in the winter, especially in Wisconsin, I don't want my wrists peeking out. I returned it for a Large and it honestly seemed to make very little difference. It still had short sleeves that were tight/narrow. The torso was very boxy and made me look like a house. So I am returning it again.

      Nice but fit weird

      • Fit: Runs small

This jacket would probably look good on a girl who is smaller in butt department and big in the bust. It had a pretty boxy fit to it. Very tight around the hips and bigish around the top. It was also longer than I anticipated and the high/low scoop in the back poofed straight out the back.

      Great but not for me

      • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I really wanted to make this jacket work but I ended up returning it. The length was great but the fit was not great for me. It was tight around the hips and puffed out at the bottom. This jacket could be great for some people but not for me.

      Cute but too small

      • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I bought this jacket for winter this year and I love it, but it was too small in my hips. I am pear shaped so I usually have this issue with jackets and pants. I'm 5 6' 140 Lbs and I bought a small size. Even though I'm not keeping it, it is super lightweight, pack-able, and warm!

      Unanswered Question

With a 600 fill power in this jacket What’s the down to feather ratio and how many oz of down are there?

      Unanswered Question

How does this compare to TNF Metropolis II Parka in terms of warmth? Is this more of a standalone parka like the Metropolis, or a lighter weight "down sweater"?

Purchased this as a gift for my step mom, she loves it. The length really keeps her warm and it's so light!

        So light!

        • Fit: True to size
        • Size Bought: XL

I love how light this jacket is, especially for being a long down coat. Great warmth to weight ratio. And while I don't think it was fully intended, this jacket is relatively "packable" if you might consider traveling with it (i.e. home for the holidays, ski trip, etc.). It would make traveling with it especially easy.
