Good value

  • Size Bought: Small

Nice light weight casual shirt.

Recommend giving a try

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: XS could have tried Small

Okay, so keep in mind this review is coming from the point of view of utilizing this top for everyday living/use - not an active pursuit. I would think that as a climber or hiking this top is built brilliantly - from the way the seams are sew not "on the shoulder", to the thumbholes, to the breezy flow, to the drop tail hem for extra coverage (and nice feminine look). I'm kind of picky with my necklines (don't like crews that sit flush with my neck, I like a bit of a scoop, and I don't really like boat necks, for whatever reasons not relevant here). The material was brilliant, so soft, and Stoic is a super nice brand and well worth the money and investment IMO. This is an ideal top for active pursuits. Just didn't like the style/fit on me. I would encourage others to give it a try and would definitely recommend it. Runs slightly large, depending on how fitted or how loose you want it, you may have to try a size or more. I am usually a medium, but sized to XS and it wasn't tight AT ALL, but I think I would have liked it more if I'd gotten the Small. Hope this helps a little. I don't have much of a chest so I have to be careful on scoop necks or it's just like I'm opening up a tunnel for people to look down when/if I bend over. I've tried a few other of their tops in this line (or is it only one other...I forget) and it's a very nice top in regards to material and function. Looks like it's selling out fast, which is a good sign! Hope you find it suited to your liking!

Great undershirt

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: Medium

(From my wife) This shirt is great for wearing under your outerwear for riding for the day. The fit is pretty basic. It has thumb holes on the end of the sleeves but I didn't use them. The size seemed to run a tad bit big. Overall it was comfortable and did the job.

Technical shirt with swooshy armpits

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

This is a nice technical long sleeve in Dolman style. If you're like me and didn't know what Dolman style is, it's flying-squirrel-like sleeves. Or, webbed armpits. The Dolman isn't super exaggerated, but you should know what to expect if it wasn't clear from the pictures.

Didn't like the fit

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: True to size

This shirt is the "Dolman style" which if you don't know what that means, the armpits drop low because the seam for the arm is on your bicep. I personally do not prefer this style and it made it feel weird when I had a coat on over it because the fabric bunched in my armpit.
The fabric felt nice though like it's wicking. It was a bit thin but still seemed like it would keep you warm in fall or with layers.

Legit, technical fabric.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

This is a nice looking , basic shirt, but the fabric on this is what's up. It's warm, but also wicks the sweat away really well, especially for not being an expensive merino wool, or a cold synthetic. It definitely stands up to other technical, non-merino fabrics I've used.

I've gotten this shirt plenty sweaty, in the few weeks that I have had it. I've used it as a baselayer, hiking into a snow storm. It worked very well, wicking the sweat, and keeping me dry. I've also used it backpacking, and it's performed perfectly there, as well. Also, it hasn't gotten stinky, yet...

I think it's supposed to be a loose fit, so I kept the medium over the small. I like how it fits. It's slouchy, but still feminine. I got the raisin color and I really like it..
