For your favorite kind of days.

Spring has to be one of the best times to live in the mountains, especially when the resorts are still covered with snow up high and the lower elevation trails have dried out just enough to take the dog out for a long stroll. Basin and Range must have had this perfect time of year in mind when it designed the Women's Quinn's Primaloft Jacket. Based in the quintessential mountain town of Park City, Utah, Basin and Range made this jacket for those days that consist of a couple of ski laps in the morning, a midday cup of coffee with friends, and that walk with Sparky in the golden light of afternoon.

Quinn's Primaloft Jacket is packed full of a light and breathable synthetic insulation that retains insulating properties even if it happens to get a bit damp. It offers the convenience of being lightweight and packable, so you can throw it in your backpack when the sunshine shows that summer is just around the corner and pull it back out to watch the sunset at the apex of your walk. The face of the fabric is also treated with an eco-friendly DWR finish to repel moisture, so it'll shed some of that springtime slush on the ski slope or the dew from the mountain meadow you're walking through.

Great spring/fall jacket

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

I've been getting great use out of this jacket over the last few weeks. Scooped it up at the sale price - mint color. Love the offset zipper and longer length in the back. One reviewer stated the collar lays funny when not zipped all the way. That was true for me at first, but after a few wears it lays nice enough for me and I'll take it for the funkiness of the offset zipper. I also didn't notice the bagginess in the arms until I read an earlier reviews. They are a bit baggy, but I don't find it off-putting and will likely be a good feature once temps drop more and I wear bulky sweaters underneath. Very pleased with this purchase - especially dig the earbuds hole in the left pocket and clip near the collar to control the earbud cord.

Cute, but style didn't fit right

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: small

Agree with the others, the material is different not smooth, there is bagginess in the upper arms, and the offset zip lays funny if it's not zipped up all the way. It seems like a lightweight jacket probably used for warmer temps in fall/spring, wouldn't use as a snow jacket or cold camping trips.

Waist is true to size, slightly longer in the back. I would have liked it the arms were less baggy and material was upgraded.

Stylish but not quality

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: True to size

Bought for my wife, this is her review:

Cut is nice - not too big or small. The collar is a little fussy for me. If it was half zipped, it tended to stay up in a weird position. The reason I returned this jacket was the material. Kind of stiff and scratchy, and didn't seem like it would be warm enough for what I had intended to wear it for (Wisconsin winters). May be ok if you want a spring or fall jacket or live in a warmer climate.

great fit!

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XS

Got this for my girlfriend. Haven't had much chance to try it out in colder temps, but fits her great! The offset zipper is really nice, too.

Cute style but not a good fit for me

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: M

I loved the offset zipper and style of this coat but the fit was not great for me, with too much fabric in the arms and torso. I also found the fabric to be odd - a little stiff and noisy.

Nice style

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

This coat is much lighter than I expected and not quite as warm as I would have thought but still very nice. The style is very nice and it packs down small. It is not warmth that would compare to down however.

Nice light jacket

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Nice lightweight jacket. I buy small in most clothing, but the small was a close fit. The medium worked better and allowed room for layers. I usually wear petite sizes but the jacket fit fine and sleeves were not overly long.
The zippered chest pocket was useful , but I needed a inside pocket for traveling, so I had add one myself.

Function and Fashion

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Warm and wind-stopping without bulk. Once of my favorite Features about this jacket is that when zipped the neck comes up high and keeps out drafty wind. Jacket cut perfectly for movement on the trail. Zipper details give the jacket a fashionable pop.

Thanks for your review, Joyce. Also, for anyone curious, the center back length is 26" on the small and 27" on the medium.

Lightweight but warm

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

This coat isn't bulky at all and you can't fit many layers underneath of it, but still manages to keep the wearer warm and safe from wind and rain. It's incredibly lightweight but is still exceptionally warm. The zipper is aesthetically off-kilter, so when you unzip the top a little bit and wear a scarf, the neckline folds down really nicely. The fabric is surprisingly durable; I accidentally scraped my arm against a nail and it didn't rip. I highly recommend this jacket.
