Basin and Range Jupiter Primaloft Pullover Jacket - Women's

Layering Necessity.

The sun has set on another mind blowing day of skiing, but that doesn't mean the party is over. Keep the good times rolling with the Basin and Range Women's Jupiter Primaloft Pullover Jacket. Constructed with a durable taffeta shell, this jacket resists wind and moisture to keep you comfortable as you make your way down busy resort town streets.

PrimaLoft Silver insulation ensures warmth without adding bulk, making the Jupiter easy to layer under a hard shell as you make your way from dinner to the most popular bars. Stretch panels under the arms and along the sides enhance breathability and increase mobility to keep you comfortable when you decide to spend a sunny afternoon snowshoeing up to valley overlooks. A half-zip front placket helps keep things cool on the hike up, and traps in warmth to keep you comfortable on the chilly hike down.

Big Hit

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I got this pullover for my sister-in-law as a gift and it was a big hit. She said: "I love this pullover! It has a nice slim, but not too slim, fit. I am 5'10" and have very long arms and the sleeves fit well. I love the pockets in the front. I wear it all the time, around town and on the trail. I ordered a size L."

Fashionable but not sporty

I really like this pullover. It's sleek, stylish, and pretty comfortable. I'm normally a shmedium in most things, and for this, I went for the small. It fits pretty well, though it is pretty tight across the back of the shoulder and has no stretch to the material. It's great for wearing out in town or on the street, but by no means would I use it for layering while getting rad in the backcountry or for climbing. It's got a pretty nice Primaloft insulation, so I'll wear this in the spring or fall when it's cool but not too chilly out. A major complaint about this is how tight the cuffs are. The jacket as a whole is a pretty nice fit, but I have pretty large man hands, so taking the jacket off and maneuvering my hands through the cuff is kind of a pain. I wish that it had elastic in the cuffs.

    So cozy!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large

This jacket rocks. I love the quarter zip design with the kangaroo pockets that you don't usually see in most down jackets. This offers a really comfy and cozy fit with the ability to store all sorts of stuff in the pockets as well as keeping your hands warm. The inside of the pockets is super soft and warm and the side panels on the jacket are a stretchy, more breathable fabric that is perfect for more high output activities. I wear a large but layer a lot underneath so if I was going for more of a slim fit, I would definitely wear a medium. I am 5'11'' and about 145lbs with pretty long arms and this jacket has the perfect arm length for me. I love the high neckline and the button down feature over the zipper on the quarter zip section which offers a nice casual look for apres activities. DWR finish is also a nice feature and it has held up in light precipitation and foggy mornings on the central coast of CA. Definitely a versatile jacket that rivals my Patagonia and Arcyrx puffy jackets!

Size: I went with the size chart and ordered a size small (us dress 4-6). This product runs true to size, so just look at the size chart and you'll be good to go.

Fit: The fit of this is super flattering and the sleeves are the perfect length (on me, at least).

Use: I could use this for everything! Perfect to wear over gym clothes to dress them up, easy to wear over jeans for a casual dinner.

Quality: I haven't used it too much, yet, but I think it'll hold up really well as time goes on. Also, with a limited lifetime warranty, it's clear B and R stands behind this product!
