Sweet

    This is a sweet and savory dish that is a good way to mix up your meals on a long trip. I find that mixing in different meals like this make eating dehydrated food slightly more tolerable for a few more days past your normal breaking point.

    I did not enjoy this meal. The food was very bland. I tasted little coconut, basically you're buying black beans and rice. It was filling and easy to make, but if you're buying mountain house, grab something you don't need to bring extra seasonings to make it enjoyable.

    Decent flavor, not over the top. Kinda sweet. paired it with some tortillas and fresh cilantro and onion and it was a pretty great lunch. Not too salty and reconstitutes well, no dry or crunchy spots. Will order again.

    As the other review says, don't let the sweet ingredients throw you off. This meal was a delicious end to a long day of backpacking that kept me full well into the next day's hike.

    Very tasty and filling! Don't let the banana or coconut milk put you off. They each add a little flavor. I love spicy food so I added some chili flakes on it when I ate it! I will use it again! It served both my husband and I so the portion size was accurate.
