Why We Built The Tabernash GORE-TEX INFINIUM Anorak

Most of our herd prefers not to let wintery weather slow down our pursuits, so we developed the Tabernash GORE-TEX INFINIUM Anorak to supply reliable weather protection over a wide range of disciplines. This performance piece utilizes GORE-TEX INFINIUM wind-proofing technology, which is the most breathable fabric technology available in the GORE-TEX line. The breathable performance makes this jacket ideal for high-output activities pedaling through snow-covered singletrack on your fat-bike. Our favorite feature? A spandex face mask can be deployed from the zippered collar compartment—letting us push onwards even if the weather decides not to cooperate.

Itchy seams

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

I was really excited to get this, but unfortunately, I'm returning it. Overall, it was just okay. The fit was alright, but didn't love it. The seams just below the elbows are horribly itchy. I'm not particularly sensitive, but it feels so rough i can't imagine hiking in it all day. Probably fine if you wear long sleeve base layer but I wanted to be able to wear short, too . Disappointed, but just not for me.

Cute Windproof Layer

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I like this anorak top. I get compliments on the purple/teal colors. The front pocket is large and easily fits my collapsible water bottle. There is a rear zippered pocket for the coat to fold up into which I use to hold my phone. I have not used the mask, however it folds up into the hood without issue and only comes undone in the wash. The hood is regular sized, does not fit over my ski helmet, but under. The material is a really nice windproof soft shell. I've worn this throughout the winter as a layer, and into a cold, windy spring on its own.

Awesome for touring and hiking

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I really love this jacket/hoodie. It has a nice weight to it, and is the perfect mid-layer. It breathes well and lets you move. We went out in wet conditions and this kept me perfectly dry. Didn't realize the face mask was tucked away in the hood! But I really liked being able to zip up the front either all the way (and help protect my face) or zip it down once I got hot. The hood has a nice structure that didn't slip back. I don't think I'd be able to fit it over a ski helmet though.
