Perfect top or mid layer

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Large

I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Works great as a top layer on cool days and perfect mid layer in the cold. Im 5'11,178lbs and wear mostly mediums depending upon the brand. This runs small. Purchased a large and its perfect. Enough room for a thin layer underneath without feeling like a sausage casing. Athletic, trim fit.

Today I walked the dog wearing this and an old patagonia nano puff in 30 degree temps and was almost too warm.

Very nice fleece

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Medium

This is a great fleece jacket and you can't beat the price right now! I bought both medium and large, and ended up returning the large. The medium has a nice trim fit for me, enough for one layer underneath. The large was a little too baggy. I'd say the quality is on par with Patagonia, but I like the fit of this fleece better. It is slightly longer in the back, which is a great feature. I've used it as an outer layer hiking and hanging out at Oregon coast. It keeps me warm down to about 45 degrees (depending on activity) and does a good job of shedding light rain and wind. Should make a good mid layer for skiing. Overall, I'm very happy with purchase.

Great alone or mid layer

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: XL

This is my main grab fleece. Best as a spring top layer with a thin base. Very breathable. If you’ve got wind-bring a shell. I really appreciate the length. I’m 6’2”, 215. Fits trim around. Really appreciate the length-length to hips. I have a long torso and feel many manufacturers run short on me. Incredibly comfortable.

My favorite fleece

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

Over the years I’ve owned a number of fleeces. (Norrona Lyngen, Patagonia R1, R2, MH Monkey Man) This one is my favorite so far. It’s a lightweight material and intended for active wear. The MH Monkey Man is comfy, but too warm and doesn’t breath well enough for active use. Patagonia Medium is too tight and the Large is baggier than I want.

I prefer no hood for a mid-layer, love the pocket layout, and the thumb holes keep my skin from being exposed when wearing it with gloves. This fleece is stretchy and form fitting. It provides the right amount of warmth and breathes well for cold weather aerobic activity, and looks good when worn for casual use.

Very slim fit

I’m 6’2”, 215 lbs. I wear a large in Outdoor Research gear. The North Face and Patagonia large are a little wide in the torso for me. But a Backcountry Large is very tight on me. Going for a XL. Like the light weight. Anticipate high breath ability.

    the perfect 'indoor' layer

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I am always cold, as this has officially replaced my 'hoody collection' for winter wear inside.
Form fitting, it just works for me. Honestly- it makes me look more trim than I actually am.
    Love the deep blue color.

What size did you buy, and what is actual weight of garment? (No fabric face weight / garment weight info in Specs).

Hey Berg, the size medium fleece will weigh 1lb. We have updated the tech specs!

    Looks Great On

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

I got this for my boyfriend and the fit is great. It's flattering and functional and has become one of his go-to jackets. He especially likes the 4-way stretch, which makes it extra comfortable.

How much does the Boyfriend weight? Does he have feedback on its wind-resistance and warmth as stand-alone layer?
