Why We Built The Oksfjord Down Parka

When the winter weather is reminiscent of the Arctic Circle, but all we want is to run into town for drinks or dinner, we pull on the Oksfjord Down Parka. We designed this knee-length parka with responsibly sourced down to provide lightweight and comfortable warmth. When the snow starts to fly, the DWR treatment provides ample coverage from light snow and rain.

  • Oversized parka built for winter evenings on the town
  • Durable polyester face fabric handles daily wear and tear
  • Water-resistant finish effortlessly fights off light precipitation
  • Lofty down insulation traps heat for chilly winter days
  • Extended length provides ample coverage for crisp evenings
  • Multiple pockets keep important items nearby all day long
  • Removable hood encourages customizable comfort and warmth
  • Two-way front zipper for venting and style options

Useless hood ruins it!

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: True to size

This jacket is beautiful. Great length. Incredible warmth to weight ratio. Nice cuffs inside the sleeves to keep the wind out. And then they go and ruin it with the design of the detachable hood. There is a zipper on the back side of the neck area and the sides flap around loosely unless the hood it up and then there are small weak magnets that pull the sides of the hood together with the coat. Small weak magnets that then detach with the smallest head movement and have to be reattached every time you put the hood up or move with the hood up. Even when the magnets are attached there is an open gap between the hood and jacket on both sides of the hood where wind can come through. This design flaw is beyond me. Why make a 750 fill shin length down jacket that is obviously meant for extra cold wear and then a detachable hood that cannot stay in place!? I would have kept this otherwise and am super bummed because besides the useless hood, the jacket is awesome. The search continues….

perfect

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: M

I love this parka. I got the green/black color and it’s awesome. I’ve gotten tons of compliments! I live in Minneapolis so I understand being cold and this thing is SUPER warm but also very light weight. I replaced my Canada Goose parka with this parka because it’s so much less bulky but just as warm because of the longer length. Win win.

How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Chest:
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Sleeve:
Have someone measure from the center of the back neck down the arm, with arm slightly bent, to the wrist bone.
Waist:
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Inseam:
Measure from the crotch to the floor with no shoes.
Hip:
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
