Great base for wadder

Excellent for waders only layer or layer with shorts. The fabric slides against waders and doesn?t bind.

Very "shiny" fabric - not my base layer

Maybe I'm just old-school, but I like my base-layer to feel more like an insulation layer - these have a very "shiny" hand to them and are not my style for a base layer. For years I used light-weight and mid-weight Patagonia Capilene, and my last "favorite" long underwear bottoms were made of Polartec Power Dry fabric. These Backcountry Lomond are very slick, smooth nylon, and feel "cool" rather than warm. I am 5'8", about 165, and the Medium size was good for length, but not quite as snug as I'm used to for a base layer, either. Not bad, if that were the only issue, I would've been OK with the fit. Not the base layer for me.

Super soft, stretchy, and comfy

These are of a great material, feels great on the skin and soft to the touch. They are true to size and move with you very nicely.
