Why We Built The Girdwood Gore-Tex Insulated Pant

The lifts are spinning, the flakes are falling, and we are geared up to go in our Girdwood Gore-Tex Insulated Pants. Graced with the burly waterproof protection and breathable comfort of Gore-Tex, even melting snow stands no chance against our defenses. We've quilted the legs with insulation to keep us warm and toasty dropping into powder stashes or waiting in long lift lines, and we've equipped it with every feature we'll need to stay out long after the storm has chased everyone else inside.

  • Hardworking ski and snowboard pants for cold, whiteout conditions
  • Gore-Tex protection provides waterproof, breathable performance
  • Synthetic insulation offers reliable wet-weather warmth
  • Burly fabric provides long-lasting durability year after year
  • Mesh-lined ventilation helps us dump heat on the lift ride
  • Internal gaiters prevent snow from wetting our boots and socks
  • Brushed microfleece internal band at waist adds soft comfort
  • Reinforced kick patches defend against crampons and ski edges

Sizing is odd

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: L

I'm 200lbs, 6 feet tall and purchased the large. The pants seem good and the price is very competitive for Gore. But they are very baggy around the legs. Unless you have thighs and bottoms like a bodybuilder, I would definitively try these on carefully. I had to zip the waist all the way in, and my waist is around 36 inches. Lots of extra room around the legs, and I don't have small thighs. Leg length was fine. I have the same problem with other brands, though. Seems like I need a medium-large in this kind of pants.

Girdwood Gore-Tex Insulated Pant

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

I am very pleased with these new ski/ board pants. They do run a bit long (not a big deal) but overall I am pleased with the fit (I am 5', 10.5", 190 lbs. and purchased a large) and are very well made and stylish. I was able to wear them on a soggy day skiing on the mountain recently and they kept me very warm and dry. They can be worn with a single long underwear underneath or on very cold days there is room to add a pair of sweats also should you need While there are no rear pockets they make up for it with plenty of pocket options on the front.
