Luckily, Backcountry Access' Stealth 300 Probe has the quickest deployment available right out of the box. BCA's Quick-Lock deployment lets you toss the probe in the air and simultaneously pull a notch to deploy the probe instantaneously, and the deployment tucks inside the first probe section to reduce space. The Quick-Lock system also prevents the excess cable from whipping you in the face while you probe, allowing you to focus on the task at hand. Laser-etched depth markings never fade, even after years of rubbing against your pack.
