Hawx Ultra XTD 115 Tech Alpine Touring Boot

The Hawx Ultra Xtd 115 Alpine Touring Boot is Atomic's premier backcountry boot built for women. Its 115 flex offers one of the stiffest designs that's ideal for intermediate to expert skiers, and the narrower last ensures a precise performance. The Free/Lock 2.0 latch attaches so securely that the boot feels truly made for downhill riding at the resort, and unlatched it provides an outstanding range of motions for easy touring through the backcountry. Atomic made the boot out of Prolite polyamide for a lower weight, and an Energy Backbone in the back boasts a true flex all around the boot. The shell and liner are heat- and thermo-moldable to feel like the boot was built for your foot.

perfect for tiny feet!

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Finding boots that fit can be tricky business. It's always best to try them on (and maybe see a boot fitter) and spend some time in them to know for sure if they'll fit your feet. If you have a narrow foot, then there's a good chance you'll love this boot! And! If you have a tiny foot like myself, Atomic makes a true 22.5 size boot. These boots do pack out a bit, so make sure they feel pretty snug to fit. I made the mistake of getting a 23.5 boot last year because it felt pretty cozy. By the end of the season they had packed out enough that I was wishing I had sized down. I got the 22.5s this season and so far have been happy with them! They also updated the power strap closure on this seasons model, making it super quick to take off.

A boot I can trust

I bought these boots to replace a pair of too-soft, falling apart, super light AT boots. I was prepared to give up a bit in weight for more stability and confidence, and i didn't have to. These are super light, have great range of motion, and are actually stiff enough on the way down. I HIGHLY recommend these for ladies who need a hard charging, and light, boot.

Runs smaller than regular Hawx

I have the Hawx Ultra W 110 for resort skiing and love them. I just ordered the exact same size in the XTD (22/22.5) and they fit way shorter! The boot length in the XTD is 3mm shorter than the alpine version, which is strange and not ideal for a touring boot. Can you please shed some light on why Atomic did this? I'm not sure I can wear these even with considerable boot work.

Light and ready to charge

These boots rule! I have super difficult feet due to broken bones, and these fit like a glove. The slim profile makes these boots light for the up and the flex makes them aggressive on the down.
