Celebrating the partnership between Mercedes Motorsports' internal cycling team and Assos, the Assos Works Team line acknowledges the shared quest for speed and innovation that single-seat auto racing and cycling share. With a checkered design reminiscent of the iconic black-and-white finishing flag, the LL.works_teamTights_s7 deliver adaptable shoulder-season warmth without excessive weather-proofing or insulation.
When a cold front rudely interrupts your week of warm spring rides, swap out your bib shorts and knee warmers for this tight rather than toughing it out on a day that never gets as warm as you want it to. Assos' Mille chamois delivers top-tier comfort in a more affordable package than its more eccentric creations, promising smooth, breathable cushioning in a lower-profile design that won't make you feel like you're riding atop a pillow. As Assos builds the tight on the platform of its mid-level LL.milleTights, the LL.works comes with a slim, rather than race-ready fit that's perfect for early- or late-season training rides; your race calendar is far away or already over, and you're free to get out on the roads just for the sake of riding your bike.
- Adapt to unpredictable spring and fall temps in this tight
- Slim fit is tailored but more relaxed than race kit
- RX Heavy fabric stabilizes muscles while lightly insulating
- Mille chamois provides breathable cushion and support
- Bibs support and breathe underneath a jersey
- Q & A
What's the temp range on these?
Is this a rebadged LL.bonkamille tight? Double RX heavy on the front suggests it is. But the product description above as shoulder season tight suggests otherwise. What is the truth?
I'll answer my own question. Although Assos' own website says its doubled layered RX heavy on the front, these tights are single layer. Since the habu mille are single layer RX Medium, these tights are intermediate between the bonka mille and habu mille tights in insulation.
