Sigma SL Pant

Gear up for your next multi-pitch climb with the Arc'Teryx Sigma SL Pant. It's light on weight, super durable, and has specific design features to help you take on the longest sends. The Fortius 1.5 softshell fabric offers abrasion-resistant durability for rough rock and wind resistance for those exposed faces you'll find yourself on. It's also water-resistant in case you find yourself in some passing rain, and boasts plenty of stretch to help you nail every move. A gusseted crotch adds to this range of motion, and also helps boost the pant's overall durability. The waist is adjustable with a low-profile elastic drawcord that helps you find the perfect fit and works comfortably with a harness, and the leg hems also adjust so you can keep out updraft when you're trying to stay focused on the climb. Tack on a zippered thigh pocket to keep smaller items safe and secure, and you've got everything you need to kiss the ground goodbye.

  • Light and durable pant designed specifically for multi-pitch climbs
  • Softshell fabric resists alpine winds and abrasive rock
  • Gusseted crotch and stretch material let you move freely up the wall
  • Water-repellent performance has you covered during light rain
  • Elastic drawcord waistband fits comfortably under a harness
  • Adjustable leg hems help keep up updrafts
  • Zippered thigh pocket keeps gear and nutrition securely stashed

Nice pant mediocre fit

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Size Bought: 32

Hard to rate pants because i wasn’t crazy about the fit, I’m tall and slim they are really nice and seem well made but kind of clunky for my body shape. Can’t fault them for it it’s just one of those things. They looked like a really nice product though !

Very Durable and Light

Recently, I took my maiden voyage to Squamish, BC. I could not wait to get on the granite there as it is absolutely pristine, so I hopped on the first 5.9 I could find. It had 20' of offwidth. The Sigma SL's are incredibly lightweight, which would make them seem like the wrong pant to use in an offwidth pitch, but I was wrong. They held up great. THat being said, I wouldnt use them exclusively for off width, but to withstand a pitch of off width and stand up to the test made me LOVE THESE PANTS!

I wear a size medium and have a 32 waist, and they fit perfect. I also bought them in the colorway Proteus, and they are such a cool color, especially with a black t shirt.

Highly recommend these pants to climbers and will replace with a new pair as soon as I have to (which I believe to be a long time from now)

     Very Durable and Light

    Great stlye and mobility

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

These are a great pant for the average day of cragging. The mobility is unsurpassed as well as function. The slim fit is a welcomed move with too many baggy options. They fit perfect under a harness and wear great with a crash pad. I'm 5'10" and 175lb. They are just a touch long on me, but the cuff cinch makes that OK. The only downside is that the fabric isn't the most durable. The knees and seat could wear out with true abuse. However, the FL version exists for that.

    Great stlye and mobility

    Way overpriced

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Large

These pants are basically a slim version of the Lefroy. Nice? Yes, but not worth $170.

The Sigma FL is worth the money ($189). If the Taan Forrest came in the FL I'd return these and order the more expensive pair.

Product review: Nice, light and comfortable; great fit and finish. They price point on these should be $110-$120
