Sabre LT Bib Pant

The Arc'teryx Sabre LT Bib Pant provides protective coverage when the powder's deep enough to cover your car. Gore-Tex gives it reliable waterproofing in snowy conditions, and a C-Knit backer gives better breathability for when there's more sun than snow. The softshell bib extends coverage with breathable, stretchy, water-resistant protection, and the adjustable suspenders are removable when you don't want to wear the bib. Arc'teryx articulated the pant to provide full mobility whether you're backcountry touring or downhill skiing.

  • Ski bib built for powder days
  • Gore-Tex C-Knit gives reliable waterproofing and comfy breathability
  • Wee Burly softshell big with removable, adjustable suspenders
  • Articulated, gusseted patterning provides freedom of movement
  • Quick adjust TouringCuff prevents snow entry

I received these pants as a gift for Christmas and they only lasted 2 weeks before they ripped on the inside left leg. The rip is quite large (3.5”) and renders them completely unusable. For $500 pants this is completely absurd. My last pair of cheap north face pants lasted 7 years. When I contacted arc™teryx for repair or replacement they refused to repair the defective pants claiming that the damage was not covered by warranty.

Do not buy these pants, they are overpriced even if they dont rip and if they do (they most likely will) you are out $500 with no way to get it back.

Great feedback...was about to order these and saw this and will def not. Unfortunate bc would have been my first Arc'teryx purchase. To the contrary I have a pair of Marmot ski pants, must be 5-7 years old, that I sliced open in a ski accident (totally my fault) which they patched, repaired and sent back to me at no cost. The cost for them a few bucks. But I've got a ton of their stuff and will keep buying it b/c of their product support. So short sighted Arc'teryx.

i'm pretty disappointed. i have the older version of this bib which was AWESOME... and they made a bunch of changes which are terrible. not sure who advised them but I think they ruined this pant.

    1. they side vents are no longer full zip. you can't put it on over boots anymore and the venting is not sufficient for hot climbs. Why?

    2. there is no longer an "up" zip - or two way zip - on the fly. to lower the fly you have to reach deep up under your jacket to grab the zipper on the top of the bib and bring it down under your jacket. Why?

    3. Maybe it will loosen up after many more uses but the knees don't seem to be articulated and it bunches up under my knee and I have to reach down and pull the material up when I am going up a steep skin track.

    4. The cuffs!! WTF? they went from a velcro snap cuff to just an elastic cuff. it doesn't keep the snow out. why??

    5. Its heavier than the previous version.

    Positives:

It keeps out the storm and snow well... as it should. I like the front pockets. That's a good addition.

I am sad that they ruined a great bib... and I am irritated and annoyed because for THAT price i shouldn't have to be writing this review

I'm pretty sure you were looking for the beta SV... backcountry gives you 30 days to exchange so maybe try that?

    How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
    Chest:
With arms relaxed at your sides, measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your bust/chest.
    Waist:
Measure around your waist at the narrowest part.
    Hip:
Standing with feet hip width apart, measure around your hips at the widest part.
    Inseam:
From standing position, measure from your crotch to your ankle.
    Sleeve:
With arm relaxed at your side and slightly bent, measure from center back neck, across shoulder to elbow and down to wrist.
    Crotch to Floor:
With bare feet, measure from your crotch down the inside leg to the floor.
*Actual inseam length will vary depending on what Arc'teryx deemed suitable for end use footwear.
