Rips easily and not covered by warranty
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
After 4 weekends of use, I have two rips in my pants from late-season skiing conditions. I reached out to Arc'tyrx and they were unable to help with a repair or replacement. Instead, they referred me to a 3rd party repair service that requires a form to be printed out, filled in by hand, and then re-scanned just to get a quote.
My last pair of ski pants lasted 10 years and cost <$200 without a single rip so I would not recommend these to anyone. Arc'tyrx's lifetime guarantee is not very meaningful since it excludes rips or tears of any kind. Lesson learned - stick to Patagonia if you want gear that lasts!
