Great Lightweight Jacket

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XL

I love this jacket, it is not bulky yet it is very warm for it's weight. Great style and fit. I wear this around town, not in the wilderness.

Solid casual jacket

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

Got this for my cousin, and he seems to love it! Light weight and warm. Great for office days and nights around the down, wouldn't use it for much technical use though.

Feathers flying around

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

Good fit, hot, confortable. Very good to be used as a midlayer. The problems are the feathers that leaking a lot, all the time. I love arcteryx products, I didnt expect this kind of things in his products. I know that all down jackets can leaking a little bit, but in my jacket I sawit more than I would like to see!

Great design, poorly executed

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small

I was really happy with the style and fit, but craftsmanship is lacking. As soon as I start moving the feathers will start flying around. There were bunch of feathers poking from seams, my customers were laughing at me at dinner and picking them or trying to push them back in the seam (it was actually good drinking game after all). I hope Dirty Bird will fix this issue...Otherwise this has great potential to be THE urban jacket to wear...

Urban wear not technical

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I have wanted this coat for quite a while and could never pull the trigger due to the lack of good reviews on it. So here goes; For starters its urban wear. I'd wear this around town and that's about it. Not because it couldn't handle it, it simply looks better with jeans or business casual. And it lacks a few things that outdoor purists would moan and complain about. First the cuffs do not have any elastic in them. Which is nice if you're sporting a watch. And honestly if your wrists are cold, buy some gloves. Also no bottom cinch cord. Again, it wouldn't work with the style of this jacket. Not a make or break for me.
Fit, this was my biggest concern with this coat. I own the following Arc'teryx jackets; Kappa, Cerium LT, Thorum AR, Atom LT, Kappa, Caden and a Gamma MX. No, I don't like my money. And yes, I have an issue... The Rico runs somewhere between an Atom and the Thorum. Fitted but not confining. The sides have the stretch fleece like an Atom and it doesn't restrict movement at all. I'm 5'11" 165lbs and the medium fit great. As for warmth, walking around with gloves and a scarf on I was comfortable at 32* with a slight wind. It won't come near a Thorum or Cerium in terms of warmth, but it will keep you warm while not making you look like a techy gear head.

Good Style

I bought this for my dad. We're the same size and I want to steal it.

I've tried it on and it's really warm, but can we worn as a nice collared shirt.

He lives in Aspen so it's a good jacket/shirt to wear for a walk over to a social deal. Keep you warm enough on the walk over and not too warm on the inside, while looking good the whole entire time.
