Revel in technical protection.

Part of Arc'teryx's All-Mountain line, the Ravenna Women's Jacket is all about blending sleek, understated style with Arc'teryx's trademark technical standards for unbeatable performance when it comes time to slay lines in Colorado or France. And just because the Ravenna has a pretty face and a trim fit, doesn't mean it skimps on mountain-ready features.

For starters, the Ravenna boasts a removable snow skirt that prevents snow from sneaking its way into your baselayers, and the ski-pass sleeve pocket enables on-the-fly swiping so you can keep hot lapping when the snow's good. Additionally, the helmet-compatible hood is fully removable for a customized look that won't infringe on your style or performance. The fully waterproof zippers seal out precipitation, and the underarm ventilation system ensures easy, on-the-go body temperature regulation should you find spot some untouched snow within the resort's boundaries.

And lastly, but certainly not least, while the Ravenna's 3-layer Gore-Tex construction may assure unwavering weatherproof protection, this jacket is far from stodgy and stiff. More specifically, the Ravenna is equipped with 4-way stretch and an articulated, slim fit to ensure unobstructed mobility that manages unexpected boofs and celebratory dances alike. Not to mention, the fully adjustable cuffs, hood, and hem enable customizable protection should Ullr bestow the resort with some unanticipated and rather glorious white fluffy stuff.

  • A stylish, yet technical shell for skiing at the resort
  • Gore-Tex membrane is waterproof, yet breathable
  • 4-way stretch assures unrestricted mobility
  • Flannel backer provides low-profile warmth
  • Underarm ventilation assures on-the-go temperature regulation

Even better than I had hoped!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Small

After TONS of research took a risk ordering this jacket before leaving in just a few days for Aspen... wasn't sure about size (almost ordered both XS and S to make sure one would fit). Wore today skiing and it was awesome, better even than I had hoped. Weather was sunny and mid-30's so not a day to test the elements. Fit was great; hood perfect over my Smith Vantage helmet, length was spot on and enough give in the material so didn't feel constricting. Plenty of zippered pockets. I do think it runs small- I have narrow shoulders and I'm almost always an XS. I got the S so that I'd have room to wear a down coat or vest underneath. It's not bulky, even with a long sleeve down coat. Crimson is a beautiful merlot color. I've had many ski jackets over the years, this one is for sure a favorite! You won't regret buying this quality jacket; yes it's on the expensive side but I think it'll last a long time and be worth every penny!

Great Jacket

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

As to be expected with Arc'teryx gear, this jacket is awesome. It keeps you warm and dry in all conditions. I bought this as a gift for my mom and she loves the jacket. It fits true to size and has been great to wear on both blue bird and snowy days.

Love!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

I am an Arc'teryx junkie when it comes to ski jackets. I have an old Stingray shell and an Andessa down jacket. I got the Ravenna because the shell is now too big on me. This jacket is so much better. It has a super light fleece lining which makes it just a little bit warmer than just a thin shell. I was able to wear it for a week of early spring skiing with just a thin Patagonia fleece under. The vent zips are also in a great location, much easier and more comfortable than pit zips.

Shell Jacket

  • Fit: True to size

The Ravenna Jacket was a gift. This jacket was true to size. Very sleek jacket, should be great for hitting the slopes

Great Shell, Runs Small!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Large

I purchased this shell for skiing and snowboarding at the resort. This is my first Arc'teryx purchase, and so far, I am incredibly impressed! I typically wear my thermal top and Patagonia down jacket under this shell, and I am always very toasty! I purchased the large to accommodate this layering and based on previous reviews that it runs small. I typically wear a small in every-day tops and usually opt for a medium in shells to allow enough room for layering and movement on the slopes. However, I went for the large in this shell, and although it is on the big side, this is typically my preference for ski-wear. In all, I sized up 2 whole sizes from what I typically wear and I am satisfied with the fit. If you're looking for something more fitted, or don't have bulky layers, then I would recommend sizing up one size.

Warm, fitted shell

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

Bought this jacket for me wife, here's her review:
This jacket is excellent for resort ski days. Compared to the Sentinel jacket, it is more form-fitting, although I can still comfortably fit a couple solid layers underneath this one. Plus the fleece lined Gore-Tex is a huge step up in warmth from other shells I've had in the past, so I don't need quite as much underneath. I'll still rely on my Sentinel jacket for mega-cold days, but excited to have a more flattering alternative to the rack.

Waterproof, warm, good-looking shell

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: L

I decided I was tired of looking like I was wearing a potato sack while skiing, but didn't want to go full on ski-bunny. So I bought this, in beautiful bright orange, and you can definitely see me comin' down the mountain! I typically wear a medium, but got this in the large to be sure I could layer underneath, and it has not disappointed. Perfectly warm with a long-sleeve base layer and down vest underneath, and still has a slim look to it. Feels a little bulky without the layers underneath, but not overly so. I love the removable hood and roomy pockets.

Perfect for the Elements

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Large

My first Arcteryx purchase. So far this does not disappoint. This is a very solid shell. Surprisingly warm yet super lightweight. Simply stylish, no frills, slim fitting. If you are going to layer order a size up as runs a bit on the small side. That being said this is ideal to layer for those blistery days.

Arc'teryx – Women's Ravenna Jacket

Designed for the resort, the Ravenna provides full protection in a trim, refined fit that moves with your body. The waterproof, windproof, breathable N70s-4 3L GORE-TEX® fabric offers four-way stretch to hold the fit while providing exceptional comfort and freedom. A brushed flannel backer adds warmth. Features are thoughtful. The removable DropHood™ integrates with an insulated collar for coverage and comfort on frigid lifts, a powder skirt seals out snow, and a sleeve pocket holds your RF pass.

Best shell I've ever owned - runs small!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Medium

I am 5'10, 140 lbs and consistently a small/size 2. I got a small in this jacket and it was incredibly tight. It's a shell so you're likely going to be layering with a puffy jacket so you'll want some wiggle room. The medium is perfect. Nice and snug/warm when I layer with a puffy and not too baggy when I'm wearing the shell alone when spring skiing.

I've never been warm skiing before until I got this jacket. There isn't any insulation but when you layer correctly this thing will trap in heat and create a little oven for you : )

Mom's Jacket of the Decade

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

My mom loves to ski in the trees. She also tends to buy a ski jacket every 10+ years. Luckily, this Christmas was time to replace the old jacket and I chose the Ravenna XL in Heron (grey). No skittles colors for this mom. She typically wears an XL in The North Face and Patagonia and the Ravenna fit a little tighter, especially around the chest, but she still had room to layer a light fleece underneath. Here is what she had to say:

Height: 5'9" Weight: 190 lbs

" I wanted a shell to ski in that was ligthweight but would stand up to the elements. This is it. Love the stretchy softshell material and the no fuss design."

Like most Arc'teryx products, this jacket should last for the next 10 years. And if not, it has a lifetime warranty. Look for my mom cruisin' in the trees.

Slim-fitting and good-looking!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small

This jacket is a beaut. It has a nice, slim look to it, and seems to be bomb-proof. Runs a bit on the small side...I'm a medium in Arc'teryx jackets, but getting this in a medium meant I couldn't layer, so I had to return. Keep this in mind when buying, and if you think you'll be wearing it on cold days, size up. If not, this is your bluebird jacket!

Stylish and Bomber

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

This was a gift for my wife. She is 5'9 about 110 (she would not be happy if she knew I put that in here). The Small was a perfect fit for her. She hates ski/snowboard jackets that look baggy and unflattering. well not only does this bomber shell accomplish that , but it is a very solid shell as well. I am a huge fan of Arcteryx and this does not disappoint. This jacket is no-frills, as with most Arcteryx jackets. But what is has to offer is one of the Industries most durable shells. There are not many shells you can pour water on and stay dry for weeks, this is one of them.
