Arc'teryx Interstate Jacket - Men's
Designed for demanding urban environments.
Whether you're dealing with cold Chicago winters or rainy days in Seattle, the Arc'teryx Men's Interstate Jacket will keep you dry with its three-layer Gore-Tex shell. Beneath the Interstate's unsuspecting casual looks lies a carefully-considered design, which puts a premium on performance. The proven performance of Gore-Tex keeps wet weather at arms length, while the Gore C-knit backer offers exceptional breathability. The slim-fitting hood can be deployed once it starts to rain, and the snap-button cuffs allow adjustments to be made to the sleeves as conditions change. The slim fit looks great when with your favorite pair of jeans, and the large bellowed hand pockets provide ample storage space for the day-to-day essentials.

Almost sent it back - that collar.....

I hate hoods that don't tuck away, but on the Interstate, no matter how carefully you roll or fold, you wind up with a stiff collar that sticks up and is almost impossible to fold back. In all other respects, quality is awesome, and the jacket proves its worth on zero degree days when the collar provides a nice barrier to the wind. It is in outstanding shell. Except for the collar.
Since I got it on sale, I'll hang on to it. It folds really flat and packs in my rollerboard beautifully - that alone is a major benefit. Stops the wind well. Zippers and material - first rate - a nearly perfect outer layer - although I'd prefer a length that covered a sports jacket.
